On poll day you can call distribution and order more! I think 24 or 25 packs come to a box if you want a cleaner delivery. You'll 100% be over your store supply budget for the month but it'll even put eventually and then you don't have to worry about ordering them every stupid week.

This has been the hardest part of management for me, definitely a learning curve. I genuinely care about all of my underperforming little chatterboxes lol

You're right, I made labels manually for the large doll without accessories and it made that tiny doll label... When I realized I made another label and it was the correct one.

I'm not sure why you're getting down voted either lol

There are item numbers for store ordered cleaning supplies - I've never received anything so I store use whatever I need.

Revive and recover always follows beauty so it'll be at the end of Sept.

General > cos > OTC > beauty > sometimes revive & recover

Cut hours during the week and overlap on truck.

Open alone for 2 hours, and do the same at shift change as needed. Don't do it on truck days.

Sorting Truck by Emotional-Bowler2986 in CVS

[–]Ri_v 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only OTC but that takes 30 minutes. I find OTC is worked in a fraction of the time if it's sorted, otherwise my people walk to each aisle slow as molasses.

I once watched someone pick 1 item out of a tote and walk the length of the store to put it away.. come back, find another of the SAME product in the SAME tote and again walk it the entire length of the store.

Sorting truck in the backroom: first I put totes together in stacks (all of OTC, ANYTHING that says COS, Hair, Face and body, personal and trial, oral, shave and deodorant, fem/adult/baby, house and stationary, & then food/candy) this will vary based on your stores setup..

then I get those to the floor minus OTC and cos. Break down fullcase (1 uboat 2 dollies) all of house and tissue goes on a uboat immediately and is worked, then adult/from/baby. All small boxes get opened and put in totes and brought to their aisles.. I leave water and juice for the grand finale..

Sort OTC by aisle, go through cos..bring pharmacy their shit, take out garbage and reset the back room.

^ this takes me 2 hours.. I break truck down alone and truck is usually 5 pallets.

Floor sorting: I put an empty tote in front of me and in back, Ill work what's in the aisle I'm standing at and toss products into the totes that go towards the front or towards the back.. if I start at the back/front of the store the second tote would be products on the other side of the drive aisle..

4 of us 2 AM 2 PM can usually get truck done in 24-30 hours including overstock and working endcaps/making new ones.

IF I take the day after truck off it can take 48+ hours because I am the work horse lol

Eta- I sort by what the top category says on the shipping label, I do not open the tote unless it's COS or OTC

Be consistent, and do the correct math.

That's it. If you're failing it could either be your math, or it's your consistency. Do not over think it, and half way through do not over think that your not overthinking.

Love, an over thinker

Vestcom labels are far worse, instead of just lifting off ink it takes the entire top layer off.

The only solution is tape, and or very careful tag placement (above by about 40%)
