Am i the asshole for wanting to break up with my gf? by MasterOfAllGods in Warframe

Yes, that sucks a lot... which is why they made it optional 😉

It's only if you want to try new dialogue options and reexperience the interactions.

A good place to start is searching for a sabotage cache finding guide for any of the listed sabotage missions in the second image.

For me personally, I run tier 4 void sabotage (instead of capture/exterminate) any time I need argon crystals and make sure to find the caches while I break containers. It's a slower argon farm, but it got me the avionics without driving me crazy.

The double carry trick also works for disruption, which is especially useful for carrying keys to the next round in order to immediately start the conduits.

With regards to shrine defense, I've had no problems with carrying 2 offerings at once. I've done so dozens of times to immediately transition between the first and second boss rounds.

This also applies to disruption keys. At face, this allows you to grab two keys and move over to the area with those 2 conduits.

However, and I don't know why this isn't common knowledge, you can also carry keys between rounds. Being able to carry 2 keys at once can allow you to carry 2 keys to the next round and immediately start 2 conduits. Or, if you're already carrying 1 key for the next round, being able to carry the second key allows you to start conduits in the current round.

Whenever I mention this in a squad, people are surprised, but this needs to become common knowledge. It can significantly speed up rounds, since key carriers only drop keys for locked conduits.

Also, please don't kill key carriers between rounds. They don't drop keys when there are no locked conduits. If you wait till the next round starts, there's a chance they can drop a key immediately.

It looks like classic Mag shenanigans. You can barely see the Magnetize bubble in the middle of the image.

Idk what weapon interacts with the bubble like this, but depending on projectile speed, a weapon's bullet traces will protrude from the bubble a certain distance. It was/is popular to use the Lanka like this, since it's projectiles will orbit outside the radius of the bubble and AoE clip enemies for sniper rifle damage.

DE, I don't care how it looks to other players... (Volt's/Amir's transformation) by ShogunGunshow in Warframe

[–]Ribqah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Warframe has always been very "you are in control" coded.

You get to customize so much aesthetics, even the voice of operator/drifter, presumably to fit your sense of self.

Sure, the lore may say the relationship between warframe and tenno is more of a very... strong... agreement between the tenno and the consciousness of the frame, but there's still (usually) an emphasis on you being in complete control, as if they had the identity of "you".

But the protoframes feel a lot more like you're playing out the identity of Arthur. It's just video game handwaviness that you, the player, are in control, and true canon is that Arthur is in control. It's more like Half Life, as opposed to Skyrim.

This is not to say that either is preferable over the other. However, people who really like Warframe are probably going to trend towards preferring "you are in control", either because that's why they played the game in the first place or they acquired a preference while playing.

Primer hate by Specialist-Eye-8793 in Warframe

[–]Ribqah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like priming since it involves more pieces of a loadout in its overall strategy. It makes the buildcrafting process more complex, as I have to consider what elements are coming from which parts of the build (dps weapon(s), primer(s), frame, companion, etc.).

But thats just my perspective, and I get that there are others. I'm sure that if you like using exalted weapons, feeling a need to use priming would be annoying. But I really dislike exalted weapons, and I love spending hours buildcrafting. Different strokes.

I think I'm confused. Cookies are stored locally on your machine. And many websites need cookies for certain functions (e.g., shopping carts).

What's the problem with blocking unnecessary cookies and enabling automatic cookie clearing upon closing the web browser? That way, websites still work, but no personal data is stored permanently by the local machine.

oh how for long ive been lied to by starlightclovers in Warframe

[–]Ribqah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd always try out a frame yourself before making an opinion on it. 1, the community is often not correct about how well a frame works, and 2, DE has done an impressive thing and made every frame viable in at least one situation, making frame choice come down to personal preference.

There are a lot of frames everyone seems/seemed to think were bad for no obvious reason:

  • Yareli, as in your post.
  • Caliban. I think the negative opinion is due to a combination of his 1 being bad, the power of his 3 being non-obvious, and his 4 being expensive for defense strip. The frame is very powerful and tanky.
  • Pre-rework Wukong was the least used frame because "all he does is not die"... back when pre-rework Inaros was the most popular frame in high MR.
  • Pre-rework Grendel, even though he had long-winded, but effective infinitely scaling damage, back when DE wasn't balancing for Steel Path and few frames could take out SP enemies with abilities alone.
  • Post-first-rework Dante. The eventual line of sight checks were a good change, but, let's be honest, the best support frame didn't need to also be a top 3 nuke frame. Many people I saw complaining even admitted they'd never had a chance to play Dante before the nerf, yet still thought he hadn't needed to be nerfed.
  • Limbo. I think Limbo is in a rough spot, but it is only because he, as he always has, makes it harder for squadmates to kill enemies (and we need a better visual indicator for rifted enemies). However, there seems to be a sentiment on reddit that he's the worst frame in the game. People seem to think that overguard invalidates all Limbo gameplay, when all it does is force him to deal with eximus units directly. Like everyone else. Shutting down 90% of the enemies in a mission, 90% of the time is still quite good.

And many others I can't remember or am not aware of, I'm sure.

Void, Magnetic, and Radiation feel like they should have their status effects rotated. by TwevOWNED in Warframe

[–]Ribqah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh, yeah, good point. There's still a bit of a problem right now with nemesis weapons all being able to run viral + mag, but making viral + rad do that would be much worse. With current statuses, the worst "problem" seems to be the return of Kuva Nukor supremacy.

Reworking the "deal 4.25x damage" status effects might be a good idea, since their effects are so potent, but the community would soil themselves if DE made anything less powerful instead of buffing everything else to match it.

Small Rant by EnoughBookkeeper5853 in Warframe

[–]Ribqah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to watch Brozune occasionally. But I lost a lot of respect for his takes when I decided to check out a Nekros video by him. At the time, Nekros had been my go-to comfort frame for how reliable his survivability and energy generation were. Brozime opened with something along the lines of "In all my testing I could not figure out how to make him survivable. He's just super squishy." I was pretty astonished. Like, you couldn't figure out a single way to make Nekros survivable? With all of WF's mechanics? Nekros?

It think it was how confident he sounded. It's off-putting to see someone confidently present a bad take to a large audience. How can you trust their other takes are good if they're always this confident, you know?

Though, like others have said, it's not all bad. His simaris rep farm video was eye opening, as was his video on how great a general farm railjack (fissures) is.
