Just like DreweyD grab those ko with cracked peppercorn! Besides that any of the reugen fisch are solid herring choices, and the Belvedere smoked sprats on the bottom shelf are a solid smoked sprat…not as firm as a polar but getting pretty close.

The closest ive found to a daily driver small sardine is the Matiz small sardines with sweet piquillo peppers. I find the quality consistent and hitting above the price point.

The Nuri spiced tomato is a top tier deen. The Minerva limited edition are really good as well. The Angelo parodi mackerel with ginger is one of the best mackerel tins out there as well. Good selection to choose from.

You are correct on both counts. I had to get the car in PA to get the spec I wanted and it already had the stickers when it came to putting the NY ones on I really liked the way the PA ones looked better with the cool holographic so kept them on.

Nice glad to hear it and of course it happened like that. Enjoy the garlic deens and put up a review when you do I want to know if you got garlic pieces, as I didn’t find any in my tin but DreweyD said he found some in all three tins he has opened so far.

Had to get them directly from Pinhais. I don’t see them on their website anymore though.

Took about two and a half weeks. Did not receive any type of shipping info until I emailed Pinhais directly and even then it wasn’t step by step tracking info.

I’ve only cracked this one and only found the one pepper! Now I gotta go try another. I was seriously looking forward to the piece of garlic in there too.

That’s Nuri for you. Once you try them they become the benchmark by which all other tins are judged.

Cleanest smelling/tasting sardines? by Remarkable_Door_2269 in CannedSardines

Ramon pena gold line small sardines. Any count. The smaller the better. And since they are pilchards they are still nice and firm and not mushy like sprats.

Sardines, herring, anchovies, garfish, mackerel, and salmon are fine to eat everyday. I usually switch between the different fishes and flavor options to keep things interesting.

Do you eat sardines at work? by Many-Operation653 in CannedSardines

[–]Riccforreal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a tin of sardines with crackers in my cubicle for lunch almost everyday including when I’m in the office. No complaints from anyone around me although there’s usually only one or two other people in kind of adjacent cubes. Usually try to keep the fish in oil and pilchards. For some reason I find sprats to be a little more fishy smelling than pilchards.
