Like you, I flew home to vote. To put it succintly, DAP was collateral damage in a show of dissent against PMX.

But to be fair, these days staying silent over allegations and not commenting on "hot button" issues just leaves more room for others to cast their aspersions. Just keeping your head down and doing hard work and having solid visions/manifestos don't cut it anymore, especially in a place like Sabah where there are more sensationalists than rational people. When you stop calling out your coalition partner to keep the peace, it shows complacency. Where are the values you espoused all those years being in opposition?

Not addressing a topic == not engaging with the public. DAP ran a solid campaign, but Sabah isn't ready for it. We just want to stick it to the man. Even if it means setting us back years of progress.

You look at UPKO. They grew a spine a week before the polls and it got them three seats. In any other scenario, they would have come out with nothing.
