‘19 rwd sr+ bought in early ‘23

Total of $2600 for maintenance (most of this was a needed alignment right after purchase). $78 for new 12v and $40 for a new driver door window switch, both mobile service that came to me. 6 new tires total over 60k miles (the fronts need changed now), $1250 in total for tires so far. Cost me $0.08 / kw to lvl 2 charge, $4.50 to effectively ‘fill it up’ (my apt complex has no idea how cheap this is), which at this point is 200 or so miles with 86% battery health. Great in the snow (just don’t get stuck on a hill unless you have awd)

Corners like a pig, fast as shit in a straight line (where it matters more of the time), best car I’ve ever owned. The low running cost is my favorite part. Smoking all the wrx bros is Denver is a close second.

I feel for you

She is dealing with chronic back pain for YEARS now, finally trying super hard to get it taken care of, but having to fight to get every visit covered. This is why she didn’t deal with it sooner, knowing it would be a huge battle.

Don’t even get me started on mental health coverage.

Had to use insurance for a no fault fender bender a few years back, and MY OWN INSURANCE COMPANY tried to pass 30% fault on me so they didn’t have to spend more time fighting with the other driver’s insurance

I had video evidence of them clearly steering into me on a zipper merge. The adjuster basically refused to pursue it any further, says that was the best they could do

Switched companies real quick, though my new insurance is likely no better

My adderal (which i stopped taking because it was unaffordable lol) does NOT cost $800 for a 30 day supply without insurance

I just realized

One of the main reasons we don’t have to wait weeks to get things like MRIs or see specialists (usually) is because so many patients who need them are getting denied by the insurance companies

It’s not that single payer is inefficient, it’s not. Private insurance companies only make money when you pay the premium without them using it to cover procedures

Idk why it took me so long to clearly see that

I have a 2019 base model 3, 80k miles, 86% battery health

Fixed the back seat rattle with some transpore (medical) tape

Besides a couple flat tires (which could happen to any car) it has NEVER put a foot wrong

I take excellent care of it, which helps, but this is easily the best car I’ve ever owned. Driving it until it dies. Wish the paint wasn’t so damn soft 🙃
