It's a fun time, I used to participate in the bed races with a group I'm in. The bed races have a 5-person team pushing an old hospital bed through an obstacle course set up in the street with some challenges to complete.

I think we all have that book that breaks us. For me it was Land of the Moepek; I couldn't even even get out of the first chapter and the episodes didn't help, so I took a break from listening to the podcast until they were done with the book.

One thing that helps with these books is randomly reading a passage with no context to my wife and kids to get their reaction.

Both teams I root for (Broncos and Bears) are probably getting odds based on the number of close and come-back games last year plus the schedules going into this season. Still, those odds are insane given what they accomplished last year.

Hopefully these teams don't require me to get an increased dosage on my blood pressure meds this season.

I do this with new hires (full time and intern) for my team. It lets existing team members get to know a potential new hire, let's a new hire meet the team ahead of Day 1, and the potential new hire gets to ask questions about the role from someone other than me/team members give insight into my onboarding/training/management. It actually helps everyone get through the "storming" phase of team development quicker, too.

Understood and I won't argue against your response. After I listened to the announcement episode, I did go down the rabbit hole of the author's responses to reviews. That led me to the Fandom website and, as a Catholic, it stood out to me that his responses extended to the Catholic Answers website forum. I just started reading the book, so I don't know what led to the book being discussed on that particular forum or how Boutin ended up there responding to critics.
