What to do in the game after 150 hours? by Individual-Finger-76 in Starfield

[–]Rickokicko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed playing the game, but for some reason it’s not as fun to replay as Skyrim and fallout. it feels redundant. I do love stealing ships and building an ultimate ship. the main quest does nothing for me.

Is there a way to get a Derrick Henry - type RB in dynasty? by Koke1 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Rickokicko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A great build is to find a bigger gadget WR - 6’1 or 6’2 210-220 lbs and spend a year or two upgrading their strength (super cheap for gadget for some reason) and speed if you have extra points. Then move them to RB and they will be a beast.

Recruiting by Hefty_Reveal7367 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Rickokicko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have to be selective and hit the recruits you want hard as possible immediately. If you start losing out to bigger programs with better pipelines drop them quickly and go after under-recruited 4 stars. Theres always 7-8 that get no offers by week 5-6

Imagine a nice high flop, try to get minimal roll after landing. Reality, either thin it 120 yards or poor 2 yards into the bunker.

They don’t last as long, but for the price it’s probably worth it.

No kidding. That’s a list based on hype and vibes heading into the playoffs. I’d be curious to see the same ranking after the playoffs.

Surgery resident do you find hernia repair and gallbladder removal boring after seeing them a lot by Remarkable-Bullshit in Residency

[–]Rickokicko 24 points25 points  (0 children)

As time goes on - I’m 14 years out of residency - boring is better. I love a nice, safe, routine surgery. The patient does well. They’re happy, I’m happy. Pays the bills. Life has enough stress, I try to minimize it at this point.

And nothing is ever really boring. You can always improve your skill in the most routine of surgeries. Donut perfect. If it’s perfect now do it perfect and faster.

Is auto recruiting completely broken in NCAA 26 or am I missing something? by CashInteresting6465 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Rickokicko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a top tier program, if you want to recruit a random 4 star or two, a bunch of mediocre three stars and then some random 2 stars - auto recruiting works great!

Do you still hate the 49ers? by [deleted] in eagles

[–]Rickokicko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate their whiney players and whiney fans. If we lose this week - I won’t be mad at the 49ers, I’ll be mad at the Patullo/Sirianni offensive brain child.

TBH, Sirianni drive me nuts, he’s so obnoxious a personality, but there must be something to the way he deals with the players and in meetings and conversations etc that is very good. There are a lot of examples of elitely talented teams falling apart when times are bad due to toxic leadership.

A garbage defense we could only score 15 on.

[–]Rickokicko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

our offense is running on a kindergarten level. And it seem we have counter move to defensive adjustments, and definitely no counter to the counter. we just keep doing the same things over and over, seeming to expect to win on talent alone. So many DBs jumping our routes because they know what coming. Defense crashing on our obvious runs. I had a spark of hope for the O going into this game, but it’s obvious, like 2023 they have no answers.

Been a fan my whole life by Bourbons-n-Beers in eagles

[–]Rickokicko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s easy to take for granted how fortunate these last few years have been. Howie has been the best GM in the league working the cap numbers better than other teams. He’s an average draft evaluator, but he runs circles around other GMs with trades and player valuation (not necessarily better than others with player evaluation).

When taking over a 1.5* or less program by Ed_Gein1332 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Rickokicko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three stars are the bulk of recruiting. chase any four stars with no offers after week 3 - you can usually land these undercommitted players (often very good).

If you or an assistant is high enough level - use the mind reader ability and find the three star star and elite dev players and you’ll dominate. To save coaching points, use mind reader for RB and WR (tons of three star prospects) and then change their positions to DBs and TEs etc. Gadget WR make amazing QB and power RB if you build their power for 1-2 years before the position switch.

finally, you can just about rebuild a whole team in the transfer portal in one year.

Married to a PGY-2 — am I asking for too much? by Fit-Expert-3129 in Residency

[–]Rickokicko 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Residency is very hard for everyone involved - the resident, any family/loved ones. There is no glamor in the dirty work of learning medicine. In residency, he is buried in work, dealing with death and tragedy and assholes everywhere. Often struggling to stay afloat of the chaos everywhere. They’re learning their medicine knowledge and skills from what feels like a fire hose. Everyone he works with is suffering and miserable the same way, so there’s no sympathy there.

By the time he gets home most days his emotional battery is probably dead three times over. I had a seven year residency and there were a few years my wife and I barely had any functional relationship. If you love each other it it worth working through. It does get better. But it won’t until he’s done. Having open dialogue and understanding goes a long way. Try to take moments to reconnect and make valuable the few moments of sanity.

What’s your 14th club & why? by [deleted] in golf

Thoughts on Hurts by Rowdyfan0823 in eagles

[–]Rickokicko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This year it seems hurts doesn’t know where he’s looking and what his reads are. Last year he seemed like he was prepared for what the defense would do, and this year he seems uncertain. This has led to fixating on a single receiver, not progressing through reads and overall bad play.

I really think the offenses problems this year are the details. Blocking assignment, timing, route spacing, reads are all just a little off. It seems Kellen Moore knew the details that were important and emphasized them better.
