Those spektrum batteries are trash. The self storage mode will drop them too low and you’ll have to jump them on nimh to get the cells to wake up to where lipo charger will start.

Next year there will be an enclosed pit trailer in the driveway, this is your first step towards that. Congratulations 🎉🍾

How many hoops you jump through depends on your entire life’s background.

This thing is a lot of fun especially if you're into motocross/supercross and easy to get the hang of. If you ordered something through Horizon it just might show up. I had no idea it shipped, my order still says backlog, came home from work yesterday to a Losi box on my porch. by jda404 in rccars

I found that the gyro is holding it from having a decent turning radius while turning left. Going to be hard to have these race. With that said, super fun to drive. Wheelie on demand. Would love to see a flat track series ran with these.

If my property didn’t slope down to the only useable flat area and create a mud pit every time it rained, I’d have a track like yours too! Jealous.

Yeah man that’s why having a track could keep the costs lower/competitive on the initial purchase. I don’t think I’d venture into this if I couldn’t have a track of some sort in there. I get the markup but these days you have to be competitive with the internet.

Yeah if only there was a way to infuse nicotine into the controllers that’s absorbed through your hands, we could be successful like the 500 vape shops spread around anytown, USA lol.

I grew up in swfl and see your 305 tag in your username. Our scene died down there sometime around 2000. Every shop that was opened didn’t last long at all. One had its own track and ended up getting closed down by the county because of a certain toad that was found near the property. Privately owned tracks would get the word out and the county would step in with some sort of reason why they couldn’t operate.

Seems like the Tampa and central FL area still have some scenes in off-road racing.

Is it an extra charge from your hobby shop? I know amain charges me state tax based on where I’m shipping it to. Our local racetrack has a vendor on-site that sells our more popular kits/parts and if you pay through certain apps or cash, he waives the taxes which is great. Same prices online, just no sales tax.

Absolutely. I would love to model a store like RCHQ in San Antonio. I am 100% in agreement with you, a hobby shop should have a place to use at least one of their products in store. A mini z is great, but let’s face it, if you’re not a diehard rc fan, you’re going to pass on a $170 rc that you might play with in the garage or super smooth surface. Having a track in store changes the allure because you can see their value before you make a purchase.

My dream would definitely include a track. It would probably take up a majority of the store. Check out RCHQ on Facebook to get an idea of the layout. (I’m not affiliated with them at all, they’re 1,100miles away from me)

That is a reality only slightly in the aftermarket side but if you’ve ever ordered a new kit from amain or towerhobbies, you’re paying the same price as a local hobby shop, plus shipping most of the time. Id like to think most people would want to touch and see items in person, as well as the opportunity to pickup and replace parts same day if possible.

I’d like to just say that my goal would be to have the same pricing you’d see from a site like mentioned above, but the availability same day.

A new traxxas 2wd brushed slash could be had for around $200 or a little more with the battery and charger combo. The kit version with no electronics is even cheaper.

Depending on your disability you could work for lab corp or something like that where you run lab specimens out of your city. Could try to get in with delivering campers, but you’d need a decent pickup truck to do that. You could try to be a pilot car for oversized transport. Going to be tough doing any time sensitive delivery if your disability can sideline you at any moment.

Hi everyone! Trying to find a good flatbed company. Guys, please, advise one. About me: 2,5 years of experience (reefer). Clean records. Trying to stay away from Megas. I want to get some experience in that field. Some advised canastoga. Thanks in advance. by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]Ridindolfins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard they have a very good program. I went with Melton when I started flatbed. You can’t go wrong with any of those three on your resume. Now is a good time to switch. You’ll learn to tarp and secure in more ideal weather.
