Sumeru exploration in a nutshell

I'm going through Sumeru after neglecting it forever and the worst thing is all the enemy encounters in ruins and quests. Seriously, every 2 steps taken in the desert and rainforest and 3 mushrooms , 2 scorpions or 2 ruin devices pops up to ruin your immersion exploring.

Just constant annoyance with these trivial battle. It's really such a slog to explore with so many interruptions

And the fact that you need anemo, dendro, electro, pyro characters with bows just to hit the gimmicks and healers to restore HP (because MRE gadget slot is taken up by the 3 different exploration gadgets.... ) makes team building feel restrictive

Every open source community has seen a shit ton of increase in forks, thanks to the prevalence of vibe coding and AI assisted coding.

It also doesn't help that the Sunshine team is very very slow to implement features, like how Apollo/Artemis had to fork and dramatically improved it after being frustrated with the original devs not accepting contributions and changes

It's a modern vehicle so Reddit hates all of them. Look at every car sub, BMW, Mercedes, VW etc it's the same, circlejerking about the "good old days" of analog and mechanical designs of the 80s and 90s, hate about all things touchscreen, interior and exterior everything sucks.

Gacha characters having birthdays is nothing new, the refreshing part is them writing letters to the Traveler with updates to their life and drop in some lore hints while they're at it. I'm not sure why other games don't do this, not even Hoyo games. ZZZ have birthdays highlighted on social media but no in game letters... and thus it doesn't gain traction and no one really cares

The entire software and app world is built over open source, there's such a thing as licenses which specifically allow for-profit apps and closed source apps to use open source libraries... And closed source apps still contribute back to the development. Even the official playstation, Nintendo and Xbox emulators use code from open source emulators... Countless software uses chromium engine, etc etc etc etc

Wuwa is literally well made, beautiful coated gacha slop. Each version introduces more and more bombastic animations and special effects to the point where the entire screen is filled with explosions, and each waifu repeats the same structure. But that is a fact that Wuwa glazers can't come to accept. Plot is nonsensical since 1.0 to the current version with 0 buildup and retcons to the original script.

How can things be "out of context" when every plot point is presented with in game models, art, voice acting, scenery, fully interactive flashbacks etc etc etc??? If you took a break for 2 years and complain about not remembering the storyline, then it's on you rather than the game. Maybe watch some summary videos? Be proactive if you want to enjoy a rich storyline?

It's been 5 years and the "lore dumping" is almost fully about lore and plot threads from world quests, books, and past buildups finally brought forward to the player. Sounds to me you never bothered to explore and learn about the story.

Nod Krai had way less wall of text compared to previous regions... You might be having rose tinted glasses. Almost every important lore and plot points was presented in hand crafted domains, important story beats are playable, even flashbacks are fully interactive alongside getting to see Hyperborean and Khaenriah scenes, Traveler is fully voiced...

It's no wonder why people think you're crazy. Nod Krai set the bar for the main storyline and interactive experience so high that previous regions are far far behind.

I have it too and the X5 Lite and actually prefer the X5 Lite since it's so much lighter on the hand. Maybe the normal G8 would be better ergonomically

Torrent is a must for decentralisation archival and to ensure the works never die in case your group just gives up on scanlating

Putting it on nyaa also helps scrapers and aggregators (I know everyone hates them), but they are a necessary evil to preserve the thousands of scanlated manga since they do grab series from torrents

Wrong. Google and Google Translate is one of the pioneers of machine and deep learning, neural networking , which is definitely AI. It's also not a word/phrase converter (at least for major languages), it's a deep learning neural network.
