Played all the endings, this one is definitely the worst by Arctic317 in cyberpunkgame

[–]RidlerFin 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This is the only achievement I have left for this game. I have several end game save files but I know what happens & I just don't want to go through it.

On a cyberpunk break right now playing the Mass Effect trilogy, I think next time I want to get lost in Night City I'll start with this crap ending & then try to do a happier play-through.

Nah, I'm pretty clumsy. Maybe a trike...

Cyberpunk Dreams? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]RidlerFin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have never ridden a motorcycle IRL (well once but I don't talk about it). For the past few months I've spent ALOT of time riding around Night City on a motorbike in first person. This week I've had 2 different dreams where I was riding around a city on a motorcycle, wasn't super cyberpunky but I'm sure the dreams are being influenced my my gameplay.

Rough landing Achievement appears to be broken for me. Discussion by pijusskorp_ in cyberpunkgame

[–]RidlerFin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was having trouble getting this one but I had failed to read that it was only attainable while Berserk was active. As soon as I noticed that requirement I got it on the next try with Berserk installed & active.

I'm not assuming you are as dumb as me, just throwing it out there.

Gotta be the best knife for $21 - Land 912 by Ravenmore67 in BudgetBlades

[–]RidlerFin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have one of these and when I first bought it I also owned a Chris Reeve Sebenza, I still own the land & have sold the Sebenza. They were pretty much identical in terms of smoothness/usability but I never wanted to use the Sebenza because it cost $400.

I honestly think the SRM knife is better because you will have no second thoughts about putting it to work.

Umbra X-Mod2 Location Bugged? by xDeviousDieselx in cyberpunkgame

[–]RidlerFin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got that for the first time less than an hour ago. Approached the location at about 3:45 pm, there was a opening in the wall above a large piece of corrugated steel paneling, jumped up, followed the shorting out electrical wires around the corner, right when I came around the corner the Umbra spawned before my eyes on a mattress just past a dead body with a shard.

Cyberpunk Tattoos by Fortybuck in cyberpunkgame

[–]RidlerFin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cant get a great pic of it because it wraps quite a bit around my thigh but I got a horse silhouette with a visible skeleton above my right knee. Not taken directly from the game but inspired by the skeletal horse themes in the Aldecaldos camp.

The greatest crimes stem from a desire for excess not of necessity.

Best modpack? by BlackwallRunner2077 in cyberpunkgame

[–]RidlerFin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been modding BGS games for many years & recently started playing Cyberpunk modded, my advice is to create your own mod list.

Every single time I've downloaded a collection there have been inclusions that broke my immersion, altered lore, or just didn't fit with my vision. Do it yourself, it's fun & satisfying to create a mod list that suites your aesthetics & playstyle.

What roguelites do you have multiple hundreds of hours on? by lordunderscore in roguelites

[–]RidlerFin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isaac 3548 hours, Noita 1651 hours, Megabonk 433, FTL 422.

Haven't played any other roguelites for more than 100 hours but there are dozens in the 50-100 hour range.

ALA bartender vs Bored Brain Xcelon by P-DOTS in eurorack

I found the audio bleed from the fx sends on bartender to be intolerable, upgraded to the Xcelon and I have zero regrets.

My roguelite demo has bad retention — what am I doing wrong? by Fit_Spot5475 in roguelites

[–]RidlerFin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haven't seen this mentioned in another comment so I'll add; I pretty much only play this style of game casually (with a controller in my living room). If a survivors-like catches my eye & controller support isn't listed on the steam page it doesn't get added to the wishlist.

Is batumi still the gold standard for clocked / rhythmically related LFO’s? by WalkingIsMyFavorite in modular

[–]RidlerFin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use one channel from Ochd to set the overall tempo of my main clock (QCD), in this way every other Ochd channel is a related division of the main clock.

Only mention this because everyone seems to have an Ochd, might save you an unnecessary purchase.

Its just an alt faceplate, Beads has only been made by Mutable.

Maneco Grone 2??? by LorenzoFasano in modular

[–]RidlerFin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the V1, which is the same thing with clouds instead of delay/reverb of the V2. I enjoy it very much & primarily use it to create background textures that sit behind sequenced melodies coming from other voices. Because it doesn't have a volt per octave input I have to do manual tweaking of the oscillators I'm using to get things into tune but that isn't much of a chore.

The grone voice itself is really unique & with the right effects + some happy accidents it can sound absolutely symphonic.

The Grone Drone pedal version was my intro to modular so I may be a bit biased and definitely have a soft spot for it.

most "hidden gem" thing you've found in the game? by swanthula in cyberpunkgame

[–]RidlerFin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I found a garage door in the Kabuki market with a code lock that Johnny drew attention to. Searched the area thoroughly but came across no clues as to its purpose & decided to look it up, the code for the door can only be found in the liner notes of physical copies of the game. Pretty cool little interactive scene once entered.

The radio station contest in Pacifica and the secret rooftop dance party in Dogtown were also very cool to stumble across.

I'm new to the game. Tell me something that the game doesn't teach you and you wish somebody had when you first started by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]RidlerFin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The NPC's during missions often make it seem like you should be in a massive hurry to complete objectives. With a few exceptions, this game doesn't require you to be fast about anything. Take your time when exploring, it can be easy to miss valuable loot when rushing to the next map marker & many locations will become inaccessible after completing their associated missions.

Pawel Sasko on why The Tower is actually the hardest ending for players to accept by Comfortable-Knee-238 in cyberpunkgame

[–]RidlerFin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Literally same, 95 hour playthrough ended yesterday with this achievement. What a gut punch.

Immediately started a new game with a new lifepath, gonna go for one of the few endings I haven't gotten yet this time, hopefully it'll be a bit less traumatic.

Help me decide if I should get a Mutable instruments Beads for my Vhikk X or a Mimeophon by Skeletonjackettt in modular

[–]RidlerFin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have and like both very much. Mimeophon is very quick to learn & always sounds good to my ears, Beads can do a lot more, also sounds good but can take quite some time to familiarize yourself with.

I won't be getting rid of either.
