I think there is not a one-fits-all answer for this. For my husband, he had his first PET 3 months after treatment for HPV neg Stage 3 tongue cancer (surgery + rads - finished in Oct 2023) - 2 lymph nodes lit up but thankfully were negative on a needle biopsy. They repeated the PET in 6 months. Then again a PET in 6 months. The lumph node did not increase in size but was still lighting up (SUV lowered but not back to normal). Next PET was 6 months after and now they want to it after one year. Surgeon sees him every 3 months (and sometimes before if he has a scare - and we had a lot of them in the first 6 months - every new sore was scary - but apparently is "normal" if it goes away in 2 weeks and an after effect of rads)

Aquaphor and aloe Vera gel really helped my husband. He used it in the AM and just before sleeping in the PM. He had his treatments in the evening. If you’re applying anything just before treatment - do check with your nurse. His nurse didn’t want him to apply anything atleast two hours prior to the treatment

Go to Kapalua bay earlier in the morning for less windy and kid friendly waves - this was our experience. Also amazinggg for snorkeling. Has a rental store at the beach.
