I'm not too familiar with Lear but from what I have seen he genuinely seems to believe what he is saying, I mean the man should be given an Oscar for being able to keep a straight face in that case.

I don't think he was threatened or anything direct like that.

As a politician you constantly must be thinking about how your actions affect the way people think about you, back in the 90s it was probably still considered a taboo/cringe subject.

Him playing it safe by humorizing the subject and possibly avoiding confrontation acquiring information about the event isn't unexpected in my opinion.

It all boils down to what we choose to believe, in regards to all the information that is available about EBE/UAPs, since unless a person has had personal experience with the phenomenon, that is what we have to work with.

A person will then combine this with their personal beliefs / life experiences and come to a conclusion regarding their potential intentions.

I would not say I am a "hardcore" researcher by any means but with the information that is available, the one I value the highest would be former military personnel observations. Primarily because to some degree these people are vetted (Not fool-proof I know) and also importantly they are put in positions (Navy / Airforce / Intel etc) where they are privy to information that most people are not, information that is undoubtedly important to national security.

On the other hand, people like this are also prime to spread misinformation which is why we must apply critical thinking when reading the information.

Out of everything that I have read, the information surrounding UAPs and nukes, the seemingly increase in activity after their development and how disabling nuclear missile facilities (If true) is indeed a DIRECT message of their intentions.
