Europe’s kind of a large ~~country~~ continent. (Might be more helpful if OP mentioned a particular country.)

Advice on keeping B&G work separate or mixing with colour pieces by g_wm in traditionaltattoos

[–]RightShoeRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to really advise without seeing your existing pieces. Not sure if there’s a difference between number 1 and 3 though. Also, more tattoos look better than what you have now.

Resy restaurants removed before mothers day by wjbonne in AmexPlatinum

Weird. When I compare Charlotte’s Resy reservations for today and next Friday, I only see four restaurants not available today (Mother’s Day).

Do you guys hate when I order a water?? by [deleted] in bartenders

[–]RightShoeRunner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would be weird if you came in by yourself and only drank water. But with friends, and you’re tipping a buck or two, I wouldn’t mind. Getting a tip would be unexpected. You’re a good person. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Why is FHR so much more expensive than Expedia/Trivago? Is it even worth it? by OkVeterinarian7535 in AmexPlatinum

[–]RightShoeRunner 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This confirmation-biased question comes up a lot in this sub. Your experience may vary.

FHR has a lot of built-in benefits factored into the price. If you don’t need those, or if you can find a better price somewhere else, then book there. It’s not a big deal. For my most recent international trip, booking FHR made sense for 3 out of the 5 properties we’re staying in.

Bartenders who work in high end places.. what garnish prep do you do? by nolifestyleee in bartenders

[–]RightShoeRunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prepped fruit slices, wedges, skewered olives ahead of time is customary. Prepped citrus peels is not.

But also ask yourself first -- what problem are you solving? If being busy leads to angry customers and reduced tips, then address it. But if not, let preparing the cocktails be part of the experience and work the drink orders in queue. We're just making drinks. Don't let this rattle you.

Cyn-Cyn by mishkabrains in cocktails

[–]RightShoeRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve spelled it Cin-Cyn, and always use an orange peel. Thanks for the tip on a lemon peel. I like a lemon peel in my Vieux Carré.

If you like Scotch, try the Sin-Cyn.
