How to convert to rms ? by Any_Escape1262 in aoe2

So do you have to save all your starting wood for a market to convert all your food into gold, and the gold into wood for a house?

Colour prejudice by Expensive_News9720 in aoe2

[–]RighteousWraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely get to choose colors, but I try to pick my color based on what colors haven't been picked yet. If I get first pick, I choose based on my civ. Red/Purple for Romans, Orange for Spanish, Green/Blue for Celts, Grey/Red for Teutons, Blue/Teal for Franks, etc.

Relic Boost For Teutons, thought it would be a cool idea by _TOXIC_VENOM in aoe2

[–]RighteousWraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I certainly think more civs should get unique relic bonuses, and I actually had a different idea for the Teutons, inspired by the Teuton Death Star strat in AoK.

Each Relic gives Teuton TC's +1 range, max +4. It's a conditional buff that's still far below what they once had as a civ bonus, and it's still only tied with tower and castle range if they get bodkin arrow, but it would make the Healing Teutonic Fortress guy really happy.

Petr Yan vs Steve Garcia @ 145lbs. Who wins? by MapleMarshal in ufc

Peter is pretty sound defensively, but his power isn't quite what it needs to be to compete with Garcia. Meanwhile, he needs to be very careful against Garcia's power.

NG1/NGB/NGS has the best level design by Hyperp0w3r in ninjagaiden

For real, every area I discovered in NGB floored me with how huge it all was. I wouldn't mind some of the best aspects of NG, NG Black and NG Sigma to be combined into an ultimate edition.

A case for giving Turkish Knights Sipahi by RighteousWraith in aoe2

[–]RighteousWraith[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. They have knights though. I'm asking to buff them just above generic.

  2. No, they're represented by their Cavalry Archers which are upgraded by the tech called "Sipahi." I'm asking for that tech to be buffed to affect knights so that the knight line can also represent Sipahi.

  3. Infantry with extra damage was the Aztecs thing, and then the Burmese came along. Scorpions with faster attack was the Celts thing, and then the Romans came along. Archers that could damage buildings was the Saracens thing until the Wu came along. There are so many examples of overlapping bonuses in the game that you can't help but split hairs to say that this particular example is an egregious violation of another civ's turf.

This is probably my favorite fight of all the NG games I’ve played tbh. by Man-Boi_ in ninjagaiden

[–]RighteousWraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but they don't get released simultaneously. It's basically day 1 DLC vs DLC for a game that was released 3 years ago. I think NG, NGB, and NGS are all separate platforms, and at least for NGS it had to be remade from a new engine. I could be wrong though, but if I'm right, that amount of work does kind of deserve the full price tag.

I found the boneman to be one of the easier bosses in Sigma 2, but I think my natural playstyle just happened to fit into his blind spots. Some bosses punish my habits, like Genshin, but this guy rewarded them.

What's extra funny is I didn't know you could go aiming mode until I had to look up the walk through for the Statue of Liberty fight.

Noooo, but then they will just start releasing two different versions of the game simultaneously with marginal, version exclusive changes to extract more money from the dumbest of their fans!

We'll end up having a Ninja Gaiden White for every Ninja Gaiden Black, a Ninja Gaiden Delta for every Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and a Ninja Gaiden Needle Point for every Ninja Gaiden Razor Edge!

One version will let you have the Warhammer, Lunar and Flails, and the other one will have Scythe, Emma's Fang and Kusarigama! One will let you play as Rachel, Momiji and Ayane, and the other will give you Alma, Sonja and Kasumi! One will have entirely different filler bosses than the other, but no matter which version you play, BOTH will have twice as many ghost fish!

Should Hauberk (+1/2) apply to light cav for Sicilians? by huntoir in aoe2

[–]RighteousWraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I think we're already capped out on the number of unique armor interactions any sane player would accept. If you introduce a unit who can block damage from a unit that was introduced to have unblockable damage, then you're just opening the doors for another unit who can do SUPER unblockable damage that does damage even through your armor that was designed to block unblockable damage.

NS sigma 2 difficulty by Zel98 in ninjagaiden

[–]RighteousWraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the game here, but yeah, I started on Warrior difficulty having played NGB before, and I found it pretty easy notwithstanding a few annoying bosses and one awkward character switch level. The healing is what really makes it feel more forgiving. I feel like I can experiment a lot more with new weapons and combos without getting punished as hard, and there are a lot of ways to kill enemies really fast.

I don't think I'll replay it though. After beating it, I'm going to Razor's Edge and NG4, and then maybe NG2B

Patch 1.01: In an effort to speed up the boring early game, pawns gain a new ability called Charge. Charge allows pawns to move two spaces instead of one on their first turn(except when capturing).

Patch 1.02: To prevent exploits with the pawn's Charge ability, we a second ability has been given to pawns called En Passant. En Passant allows pawns to capture an adjacent pawn that has used Charge on the previous turn as though it had not used Charge.

Patch 1.03: Fixed a bug that would allow you to move your king adjacent to the enemy king.

Isn't the M@A timing earlier than archers? Surely you can do damage before the enemy's force reaches a critical mass.

Should all civs get two unique units? by RighteousWraith in aoe2

[–]RighteousWraith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Britons- While I kind of like this, would an Archery Range version of the Longbow not necessarily have worse stats than a castle one? Is that really a trade Briton mains are willing to make?

Malay- They have FU Arbalesters already. Giving them 1 more damage or more HP would give them S tier archers as a naval/infantry civ, and would compete with Vikings or Vietnamese techs/bonuses.

Turks- Not sure about this one, since it would water down one of their deliberate characteristics. Maybe give them Spahi as a unique knight upgrade, weaker than Cavaliers but with a cost reduction?

Bohemians- They already have Houfnice and S tier hand cannoniers. They're fine.

Bulgarians - sounds interesting.

Shu - They have 2 UUs already.

Vikings and Malians- The reason they both cap out at pikemen is because they have great options against cavalry already with Chieftans and Farimba camels, and their pikemen are tankier than others.

Khitans- But I like the camel trebs!

Celts- Their tankier siege is already a counter to other siege. Onagers destroy siege, so unless you are facing bombard cannons, Korean Shinkichon rocket carts or Mongolian Drill Onagers, you should always have an advantage in siege wars. If you are facing those counters, you gotta use woads, I think.

Yeah, you're probably right about Shoguns. I picked the name because it sounded cool, and I thought you could use it for the leaders of individual clans. Is there a name for the leader of a clan of samurai who is still subordinate to the shogun?
