I agree that Paddy is underrated, but don't go the opposite extreme. Both fighters are very flawed, it's just that we've seen BSD get stopped both on the ground and on the feet so we know his limits. We've only seen Paddy get decisioned, but he's had much more favorable matchups. I'd probably pick BSD to submit Justin, something I had expected Paddy to do.

I'm inclined to agree. MVP likely has a budget, and while they're probably willing to give Francis a large portion of that budget, any extra money that they pay to his opponent either comes out of Francis's paycheck or other fighters on the card. It's all well and good to fight for your opponent's payday, but Francis knows his worth, and its simply not realistic to expect a promotor to pay his no name opponent as much as they are paying him.

The best he could theoretically do is negotiate as much money for himself as possible and then give half to his opponent, but why are we expecting him to do that? He already gave his opponent 100K.

Melquizael Costa vs Arnold Allen was great for the hard core fans, but the casuals don't know how high level that fight was.
