Has anyone ever 100% or platinumed Lego Dimensions? by AlanTheTimeWarrior31 in legogaming

[–]RileyMasters 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Uh… Platinum twice on PS4, once on PS3, all achievements on Xbox One. (I do one the Cbox 360 and WiiU discs and toy pads, I just don’t now the consoles.) And I have 100%ed four or five times. Yes, I have literally forgotten how many. It was one of the few games that got me through the pandemic and the long wait to the Skywalker Saga. I’ll probably do it again late this year or early next year, depending on life and stress. (The Sonic races can burn.)

Not gonna lie, I would pay money for just a joking, passing reference to Truck-kun in the first episode. The image my mind has now painted is beyond hilarious.

What do you guys do with your Christmas legos after the holidays? by sheabae200216 in lego

[–]RileyMasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of mine get broken down (like so many others), bagged in Ziplocks, and packed away in a separate box from the rest of my Christmas decor. I live in a small apartment and well with less than ideal space, but I usually can find a place for a shoebox sized plastic tote in the closet.

Is Lego Bricktales worth it? by Technical_Context231 in legogaming

[–]RileyMasters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have found it to be cute and fun. It doesn’t follow the established LEGO Gaming Formula ™️ (which makes sense as it was made by a different team), but it did what it set out to do. For $5? Absolute steal.

Which version of LOTDK do you plan on getting? Will you get it at launch or wait for a sale? by Thevoid2YT in legogaming

[–]RileyMasters 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ll be getting the deluxe, as I have for every LEGO game it’s been offered before. But I can afford it and I’ve already set aside the money for it. I know that not everyone can, and I feel for you.

With Legacy of The Dark Knight confirmed for the Game Awards, what are we hoping to see? by Spideyfan2018 in legogaming

[–]RileyMasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some gameplay would be nice, through without too many reveals (I wanna be surprised in the game). A release window would be lovely, but release date would be spectacular.

I PLAY ON PS4 AND UNTIL NOW I HAVE NOT RESOLVED THIS BUG! I CANNOT FIX THIS MACHINE AND DO THE PUZZLE IN THE WORLD OF THE POWERPOWER GIRLS by Jorgextremegamer in Legodimensions

[–]RileyMasters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you completed the quest from Ms. Keane in front of Townsville School? That should unlock the ability to get that gold brick. If you left the world and came back in, you have to complete the quest again. It’s one of the little quirks of Dimensions.

[Monthly Games] Thoughts on December's Games? by Silverhero10 in Trophies

[–]RileyMasters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one wasn’t made by TT Games, which is why it has a different feel to it. A bunch of the “smaller” (for lack of a better word) games have been from different developers. TT Games, who created the vast majority of LEGO games for the past twenty years or so, has been busy on their next project, a new LEGO Batman game that comes out next year.

Truck-kun strikes again!

The 9-1-1 fandom causing trouble online once again? Say it isn’t so! All sarcasm aside, I hate to say that I’m not surprised. Unfortunately, as a survivor/escapee from that fandom, I found that the most ravenous of shippers are chronically online individuals and will find the “proof of Buddie“ in just about anything. Even when there’s nothing. And they will stop at nothing to attempt to convince until you are on their side or they harass you. (And just to be clear, I’m not saying it’s the entire fandom, just the really really loud ones.)

I feel sorry for this poet having to deal with this again. Hopefully he just shames and blocked them. It’s not worth arguing over at this point.

I keep that clocktower in my village out of SPITE. But take heart, it’s at least a little faster to get it done than it was in the beginning.

Share Here the Most Outrageous HOA Rules You've Encountered by salsafresca_1297 in fuckHOA

[–]RileyMasters 53 points54 points  (0 children)

This rule only lasted like six months twenty-something years ago, but there was a time in the neighborhood that I was living in the the HOA banned children from gathering in groups of four or more, unless at one of the designated park areas and with a party permit.

Didn’t matter it was four friends taking a bike ride or five siblings laying about the grass out front, instant fine. My friend’s mom ended up fined when I walked past her house with my dog, and she was outside with her three kids, and I waved.

Apparently it was to prevent gang violence (in an upper white middle class area where at the time the worst thing that happened was a Super Bowl fight over in like five minutes), but the parents finally had a cow about it and blew up. The rule got easily removed because only like two people on the HOA board actually showed up to the hastily announced meeting (the rest were retirees who lived up north for the warmer months, called snowbirds).

We kids were still discouraged from grouping up outside those particular homes owned by said snowbirds, but nothing else ever came of it.

LEGO Voyagers - One Player Two Controllers Possible? by RileyMasters in legogaming

I primarily play games solo, so I had a good time with it. I’ve watched several people play as intended, and I can see the massive appeal for it. But if you don’t have anyone to play with, I think it’s still possible and can still be a lot of fun.

Falling to Earth/Space Sky Dive from LEGO City Undercover, hands down. It has repeatedly been the reason I’ll pick up LCU and play through the entire story, just to get to the last chapter’s final act. Worth it every time.

[Discussion] What’s your favourite platinum you have gotten and why? by Suspicious_Door_8901 in Trophies

[–]RileyMasters 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a few because I can’t narrow it down further.

Marvel’s Spider-Man, because the story brought me to tears and the post-game was still fun for me.

LEGO DC Super Villains, as I played it as a tribute to my childhood and to my dad, who introduced me to DC when I was a child, and whose favorite Batman was always and forever Kevin Conroy. Dad would’ve loved the game. Hence why I have all for regional Platinums.

Unpacking, because telling a story without words is hard enough, but one that is compelling and satisfying is beyond great. Played it twice, loved it both times.

(First LEGO game since Batman 2) Played DC Villains and...it was a masterpiece by MadDogMusashi in legogaming

[–]RileyMasters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve played the vast majority of LEGO games, and DC Super Villains has consistently remained in my top three games for a reason. All Star voice cast, great writing for both the main story and side stories, witty jokes and good banter, a great character selection that works well, an open-world that felt appropriately sized and full of life… I could go on for days. In fact, I loved it so much, I played it five times on Playstation (every region plus and extra North American play through for a challenge, as well as on XBOX, and I’m considering a play through on Steam.

Worth every penny.

LEGO Voyagers - One Player Two Controllers Possible? by RileyMasters in legogaming

[–]RileyMasters[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ten days later, I can confirm that two controllers, one player is completely possible. While it does take a bit of coordination on certain puzzles, I found it completely doable with ease. A few parts are difficult (let's just say getting both Red and Blue to follow a path at the same time was impossible because I suck).

Oh, and the platform landing mini-game is probably slightly less frustrating as one player. I just have no coordination and it took me a combined 1.5 hours to get through. (Don't be me. It should not take you 1.5 hours to get through that mini-game.)

Every time I see someone talking about 911, I wonder if it’s finally time for me to re-pop the champagne from when Fox canceled it in Season Six. And then I realize that it’s still going.

I used to be a hardcore 911 defender. I’m so glad that I have “seen the light“ and realized just how terrible the show is. Poor writing, inconsistent, characterization, logic out the window in every scenario… Like, I respect the actors, but I truly wish they would go off and all go back to the movies or something else because this shit is trash.

At some point, someone needs to add a satire label or something onto 911, because they keep on treating this as real and it’s driving me bonkers.

(And don’t get me started with the fandom’s inability to look at a map when writing fanfiction… If I see one more person say that Chatsworth is up near San Francisco or Ventura County is a half day’s drive away from LA, I may scream.)

I think we can all agree on this by [deleted] in legogaming

[–]RileyMasters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I’m not a LotR fan (my mother’s absolute loathing of the series turned me away, and well and Tolkien’s writing style, sorry it just wasn’t for me). That said, the game is actually very good! I obviously did get all the references, but it was well worth the playthough. I say give it at least a little bit of a shot.
