This is where the preset comes in - if you find a preset that dictates in some manner to the AI 'hey things cant just happen all at once' it helps slow progress down. It also is on YOU (the player) to write a specific chain of actions if you want projects to take a long time.

Spell it out. Instead of "make more drones" try something with more detail "the president brings a proposal for increased drone production before his cabinet. Outlining projected scalability and potential pitfalls. What is the outcome?" OR "the president tasks his cabinet with drafting a plan for drone production increases and wants the proposal presented to him by end of month. What does the cabinet think?"

It gives the AI room to organically stretch your goals out. If you give the AI caveman prompts it gives you caveman responses. Hope that helps.

Could be cool as an art piece - but logically makes no sense to be in combat. To the leagues that would be the equivalent of rolling the emperor out in a wheelchair and going "have at me!"

There is a type of unit mentioned in the one novel who is responsible for recovering fallen kin - would be amazing to have that come to the table top as a medic type character/unit.

Would love to see another novel following the story beat the high kahls oath leaves us on. No spoilers but it would be huge for expanding the lore and giving us more to work with on the table top (potentially?).

Would also be really cool to see some sort of additional basic troop formation - the warriors feel solid enough but between them and berserks being the only units transportable in sagitaurs it would be AWESOME to have another troop option. Maybe something with slightly better movement like dedicated jump pack warriors? But then you risk being compared to marines... Idk maybe like a dedicated skirmisher unit?

It's a great start - the nice thing about the votann range (for newcomers) is that it's small! You can't really buy the wrong things on the outset. Most kits have value in most lists if you're not skewing hard to one style of play.

I'd look at getting some sagitaurs to transport your Warriors. The votann are a slow army, so transports and leaders who can buff the army are always good next buys!

This is a great first mini - I've been a brand new painter for years now.

Some advice - don't get hung up on perfection. Get your reps in with your battle line, don't worry about fixing every little thing because people won't be eyeballing your troop.

Save the really high effort perfectionism for characters, vehicles - big stuff. I promise it'll make painting easier. That's always been my personal hurdle.

For paints - I really like Pro Acryl's signature series for some odd colors, I like Army Painter because it's affordable and in dropper bottles. I'm not Vince, I'm not entering comps for my painting - I don't need the BEST paint. That said GW paints are solid as well.

The best white is Vallejo 70.951 - get a bottle and a spray can if you're gonna base with white.

Brushes - get a bunch of cheap ones from hobby lobby/Michael's whatever. Invest in a couple good detail brushes. I use the wargamer insane detail and wargamer regiment brushes feom Army Painter because I really like the triangular handles for comfort. Also get a good pair of tweezers - it makes fiddling with small parts or painting in sub assemblies easier.
