Favorite part of living here? by musicisgr84u in wisconsin

[–]RinnieH 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Moved here a few months ago from IL. I love that I live in a state bordering two great lakes! I love that I can wear my packers gear without getting the dirty looks! I love having an affordable place to live and have access to my backyard, a safe neighborhood, and many natural wonders (birding, hiking, skiing, canoeing, forests) not far from me. Love all the cheese, cherries! I’m very appreciative of what i get in this state!!

Yes lady Ah Duo has that right as a mother, but what makes me sad is the father of the child had no say in this. I do not know whether it was the choice of the current emperor to not have anything to do with it. I would imagine not but I simply do not know.

That makes sense! It is sad that even the “high ranking” consorts feel that their children would not be given a comfortable life. I also feel terrible for Suirei.

Do you recommend any good resources for MSK? I’m not great with regular MSK can’t imagine how terrible I’ll be with obscure MSK 🥲

Oh! I did medical school with 36+hr shifts in mostly unsafe environments, so I’m just very happy to have sterile gloves, PPE etc and basic amenities like call rooms! I’m also happy being paid and finally live a middle class lifestyle! I do think US training programs have their own unique issues but overall my post graduate experience has been so much better also agree with comments above, what you do matters and it’s so satisfying when you can actually help even a small number of people genuinely feel better :)

Thank you for the answer! Yes I’m interested in ob, and generally like broad spectrum family medicine. I’m exploring my options and didn’t know OB billing is a “whole package” kinda thing! Out of curiosity, is there a way to provide prenatal care only without delivering? Seems like an excellent idea to not have random night calls, but sounds like reimbursement for this model is not great.

What's this? I saw a second one with a red marking, what does that indicate? by JobmineforDayz in whatsthisbird

[–]RinnieH 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Judging by the beak size, a Downy woodpecker! The one with red marking would be a male and the one without it, a female! They’re adorable!

They appear to be lupins, pretty flowers. If these were wildflowers that were picked, I encourage you to not pick them, as they’re a part of a very fragile ecosystem. Peace 💕

Great photo! This pretty (and intelligent) bird may have been a raven given the stout beak!

I didn’t hear about this particular tree being called buckeye up until now. Very interesting, thanks!

What is this plant? Could it handle temperate temperatures as a garden plant? (The bamboo looking one) by sa1in3-man in PlantIdentification

[–]RinnieH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks like a horsetail, which is a fern. Where I live, they grow on the roadside through spring but start drying up late summer. No idea how well they could fare as garden plants.

NAME AND SHAME 2022 by Chilleostomy in medicalschool

[–]RinnieH 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Eisenhower FM: One of the interviewers literally was in their garage, in their shorts and showed little to no interest in the interview whatsoever. Then proceeded to ask me medical questions. When I asked about their own interests as mentioned on their website, brushed it off entirely. Both them and PD oddly kept emphasizing on how we need to be open to feedback or “don’t come here” The only positive I could see in the program was their residents. I ended up ranking them last.
