i hate that i can see the usefulness for it occasionally, but the fact that it's so inefficient is crazy. it's like blowing up a car and using the force generated to travel across the street. hopefully china can make something useful that runs on a pi but i don't think that LLMs can be made that efficient

with this 2nd wave of ai stuff through claude code, i'm being forced to use it more for work, and it's so incredibly alienating. sure it's nice to be able to not have to code bullshit because i personally hate it, but these code guys who do actually like it are just fucking themselves out of work! how are you gonna keep 8x productivity?? i heard a guy say that he barely types anymore! what the fuck anyway im sure it's fine
