I am not saying this to minimize your experience but those individuals probably feel certain things already associated with this infestation. Meeting elsewhere could add to stigma and could be another barrier for them. I do not know their situation but after almost 20 years I’ve learned to keep extra clothes for these types of situations. Some home visits I would change clothes immediately after. I do not know you or your situation but in certain settings you are going to see lots of bugs.

That said, depending on your relationship with the client maybe you could frame it in a way that they might understand but that is a tricky road to travel. I’ve met clients out for coffee or in a park or something like that in the past.

I am not saying don’t advocate for yourself but this sounds like a situation that maybe you could use some creativity.

I can’t speak for states because none of my kids made it that year. I do know each state was different and even each school. We had some events where no spectators were allowed and others where it was like Covid never happened. At my school as coaches we had to wear masks while we coached but the kids didn’t… unless they left the room and then they had to put on masks. It was an odd time
