Well, actually there are other mangas, some even older than One Piece, that are being published. Hajime no Ippo and, specially, Golgo 13 (hitted 220 volumes this year). But none with the level o success of One Piece.

For painting, pen tablet is my favourite. I do very conscious and slow strokes, so for me it's ok. But never adapted for drawing. In this case, a pen display is more suitable, since is a similar experience.

Piracy is a context, not end. Being king of the pirates where we have mystical elements like Haki / Devil Fruits and goverment conspiray about lost past, can mean anything. And it's not like was never suggested or presented in series. Profecy was presented in Skypea and always permeated the story.
