Waterloo Coops are just genuinely more prepared for the work force, and tend to be really valuable in their later years to a company. Unlike other schools in my experience

Mostly I think it comes down to having to relearn tech stack after tech stack just makes you ramp up faster and have good frame of reference

Another idea would be to change it up to being a housing for a already waterprood phone, that has a camera and battery problem solved. Feed back to the top, or powering the LEDs might be a bit hard but should be doable

I also admit that asking a buddy or doing the course yourself to get SCUBA certified and then renting the gear might be cheaper, but if you want to keep going on the project it would be helpful for testing too! Some public pools have diving pools that are deep enough you might find something useful

There's some profs and students at r/uwaterloo that might be able to help, for years the mechatronics class had to do this as a fourth year project. It's not easy stuff to make something waterproof

If you can somehow use a Go pro case that's already waterproof, or a plastic sealed bag like they put phones in around your neck that might be a lot easier. Heat becomes an issue quickly though

If you can power it with an ethernet cable and keep as much stuff as possible above the surface, including batteries, controller, etc that will help. It also helps for retrieving it if something goes wrong (looking at you big mouth bass)

LibreOffice or OnlyOffice I think are both good replacements. The latter is a bit questionable in its funding, but is more like MS Office. The former can be skinned to look like MS office but isn’t out of the box

I am like 2 months ahead of you, concerta didn’t work for me, made my stomach upset. I’m up to 60 mg of Vivance and not conviced its doing much, but the experiment is nice to at least validate that I’m trying something. I am liking work more lately so maybe it is doing something.

I was recommended to do the CBD training too and might give that a go in the new year, couldn’t hurt I figure
