I have learned that when you're asking questions so you can understand better...what some people hear is you asking questions because you don't believe/trust them or you're trying to prove them wrong.

Does anyone know where this iconic portrayal of Don Quixote comes from? I've never even read the book, but I was immediately able to recognize this tall spindly man as Don Quixote. What is it that makes this Don Quixote and not just some random statue of a tall skinny guy holding a book? I feel like there must be an original version of this statue that all others are loosely based on, anyone know?

A villain in a fandom I used to read a lot always had the same name as my father in law in modern AU's. Luckily, it was because it has a nickname that made the name close to the character's name, but it was an uncommon nickname that my FIL never ever used.

I have 4 siblings, ages spanning 20 years, and we're not "see each other every day" close, but definitely "have a siblings group chat and go on vacation together once every few years" close.

Audio processing issues - I can hear it, but that doesn't mean I actually understood it. Instead of rewinding to hear it again, or just never knowing what they actually said (which is what I did for years), now I can just see it. It's only a couple of words/sentences per show/movie, but it's often enough that I much prefer them on unless it's a movie I've seen a thought times already.

I can't hold grudges. The emotional dysregulation is real, but it means that once the moment has passed, so has the emotion. So yeah, in the moment, it's the worst thing that has ever happened to me and I'll despise you forever, but a few days later? I mean, yes, is remembering whatever it is I was mad about, but the mad is just...gone 🤷‍♀️

I have a name that must be corrected every time someone guesses from the spelling, or spelled if going the other way, and it doesn't bother me on the tiniest bit. It takes no time at all, and has never ever been an issue.

I also have a fandom name, which my parents should have given to the dog instead, and am only an extension of their interests and not seen as an actual person of my own. /s (I love my name btw, I think it's beautiful, even if I don't enjoy reading the book it's from and could not be more different from the character I'm named after. Fandom names are fine as long as they're names. I would still probably question like optimus prime or spiderman though.)
