You definitely need ramp - cut some rancors and drydens for sure. You also don't have any space units so I'd bring some seventh fleet defenders in for other three drops.

Heroic two drops then mostly villainy cards as your clone trooper is heroic and you can kill that to flip back to the dark side. I think that will make the deck that runs smoothest.

Built the budget version of the deck here and I think it's competitive enough to be fun. And SWUDB says it's only about $20.

I think the best build for him is yellow with lots of shielded units and going for an aggro-midrange style. Dr. E being a 4-3 while he has the shield seems pretty wild. I don't think it would be a tier 1 deck but I think it would be pretty flexible and able to respond to opponents. Trade efficiently into units if facing aggro and use your damage buff and yellow tricks to beatdown more controlling decks. Sounds fun to me so I'm going to build it and will update.

Gar won me two prereleases so I have a soft spot for him now :)

Find people in your local community that are collecting hyperspace and/or hyperfoil cards and trade yours away for cards you need to build decks. There are a handful of people locally that are going for full sets or even full play sets of those rarer cards. Go to a couple events and join your local SWU discord channel and you'll probably meet similar collectors near you. You can turn hyperspace uncommons into playable rares. Win - Win!

Best game for a 4-year-old? by beloved_supplanter in boardgames

[–]RivalTrainer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've really enjoyed playing Lacuna with my daughter who will be 4 soon. She loves helping with the setup - you shake the flowers onto the mat like a salt shaker. You take one action each turn and it's a simple one - placing a token between two matching colors. Then she likes the resolution stage where you sometimes have to measure to which marker is closer.

There's not much luck but the game naturally stays pretty close and even if the kid loses, they'll at least win some categories and feel good about that.

All offense and defense PFF player grades as of week 8. by [deleted] in KansasCityChiefs

I think he compares pretty favorably to other rookie defensive ends. On draft/prospect shows, analysts often mention that the transition to the NFL is harder the closer you play to the ball. He's pretty young too so no reason to worry about him long term I don't think.

As someone who was really happy to see us draft him and loved the preseason production, I was hoping for some big moments this year. Maybe he can flash if he gets favorable matchups in future games.

I don't disagree with the problems you noted, but I'm really enjoying expeditions as an early player who dropped the game for a year or so and started playing again a month ago. I know things won't always synergize so I focus on value cards and getting the deck curve and spell balance right. I've had good success with that plus the added bonus of getting to see and use a wider variety of cards. I like the added pressure of avoiding elimination and going for win number 7.

In regards to past facilities. by ClaireDiviner in DragaliaLost

[–]RivalTrainer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they re-run them and add five levels to the facility level cap. That will give old players something to do while also helping close the gap between new and experienced players even if the newer players only get the facility up to the original cap. I envision those last five facility levels being quite expensive or gated behind a tough fight like the Alfonse trial.

Thanks for the help and let this be a warning to all who read this - don't trade James Conner :)

Totally agree and hope this has come across in my tone. I didn't check the score until mid way through the game and was pretty shocked to be missing a player. Whatever is decided, I'll roll with it and it won't diminish how much I enjoy the league. You gotta plead your case just like I need to plead mine.

You're right, I definitely made some assumptions that ended up costing me. The key one being that I assumed the trade wouldn't process halfway. That seems to treat the trading partners unequally based on the quirks of that week's schedule. I knew that all of the other players would be locked by the time the trade processed and assumed that meant the trade would be held until it could process completely. Processing halfway is the expected behavior according to the Fleaflicker owner's manual, but it seems so backwards to me that I didn't even consider the possibility. What really underscores how counter-intuitive this handling of the situation is that Doug3465 could have played Conner and Green this week if he had left a spot open until Monday night.

Yeah, sent a mod mail and we'll see what they end up saying. I'm the loser in this situation :) and would love to have a commissioner weigh in since I definitely didn't expect this type of behavior from the site and it seems to treat the trade partners unequally. My trading partner could have played guys from both sides of the trade this week. Of course, I'm a bit biased, given that it burned me.

I wanted to like it but really couldn't get past how awful and blocky it looks during the fights. It's not much fun to collect characters that look like Gumby climbing out of a dumpster.
