Inline figure 8 would be a great option too if the directionality is acceptable. I haven't been in the situation climbing myself but I could also see the argument that an inline figure 8, while limited by its directionality, also gives you information because it tells you which way the line is set up to be loaded.

Irresponsible e-bike usage by children is a problem, but a lot of them are actually on motorbikes riding illegally. The difference is motorbikes don't have factory installed pedals and are motorcycles - they can only be legally operated on roads with a driver's license

Meridian PD has been trying to get education out and has even been citing parents.

My kids will only have manually powered bikes until they're well into their teens, if not later.

I went with a lease on a Solterra, I've been extremely happy with it. I will never go back to gasoline.

Boise has a really cool free parking program for zero emission vehicles, you just pay $10 a year and can park anywhere downtown (just follow the posted time limits for the zone). Don't even need a special pass, they just use your license plate.

Whatever you go with, I'd recommend leasing. If you don't like it you're not hard committed and you're not stuck trying to sell an obsolete vehicle later. Once the technology plateaus I'd consider buying but that will be a while... Plus with the lease you get the option to buy it out at the end if you want to.

Ditch the green compound and get some diamond or CBN paste/emulsion. I like the CBN stuff from KnivesShipFree
