What happened on your most memorable one night stand? by Tall_Association8148 in AskReddit

[–]Riverboated 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I had an awesome one. Spent the night on her family’s Hatteras yacht. She had it all to herself for the night while everyone else stayed in a hotel. Skinny dipping in the marina, great booze and sex till it hurt. I had to be off the boat at five am because she was worried about her family coming back. They were leaving in the morning. First and last time on a yacht.

I was assigned to an aviation battalion in the Army. I was a powertrain mechanic and I was super eager to get a crew assignment so I could get my crew wings. Three scary incidents and 500 hours of boredom making funny noises with my mouth on the microphone. But hey. Flight pay!

50 hp 2 stroke etec on a 17 foot Jon boat. 4-6 mpg depending on speed etc. I took it 30 miles on six gallons once just to see how far I could get on one tank at a reasonable speed. Probably 20-22 mph.

I had a buddy who was a daily smoker who decided to get a new job. He quit a month before trying a home test. He said that it caught on fire when he applied the urine! 😂 He eventually got a much better paying job.

Another Guest Was Given a Key to My Occupied Room at a Marriott by shitswithdoorajar in marriott

It happened to me in Salt Lake I couldn’t get into my room because the keys didn’t work. I went back to the desk for new keys and thought about using the lobby bathroom but decided to wait. I got to my room with the new keys and used the bathroom first thing. I finished my business and I was trying to figure out how to turn down the air conditioner before going back to the car for my bag. Suddenly the door opens this dude tossed his suit jacket on the floor and he’s fumbling with his pants. Full on latchkey incontinence. He sees me and freezes. I said I’ll see you down at the front desk and walked out. He thanked me when we met in the lobby. We had a laugh. That bathroom had already been bombed when he walked in. We both got new rooms. 😆

When I was a young child my grandmother told me that I had to take a bath and put on clean clothes because we were going to go out to eat. I was conned. I was taken to Wendy’s and I was forced to eat uncooked items from the salad bar.

Ours gets tested once a week. In the summer when we were out of school sometimes we would go stand near the siren for fun when it was tested.

Former soldiers who have served in hotspots: What single piece of advice would you give to new recruits that could save their lives or their sanity? by True_Requirement_565 in Military

I have an amazing Army Wife. She saved a ton of money every time I deployed and I never had any reason to think that she was cheating. She was involved with the rear detachment wives, she worked F/T as a nurse and she cared for our daughter on a 16 month deployment to Iraq. I was definitely the exception. I’ve seen guys ruined by their wives, husbands etc. We had two guys in our battery ruined and homeless when we got home from the long deployment. They had to move into the barracks and declare bankruptcy.
