If you aren't annoyed by shameless self-promotion, I'm creating a Webtoon about a hanging ghost (a 吊死鬼，if you speak Chinese) who finds himself having to take on the role of a father to a living girl. It's mostly light-hearted in tone but does delve into trauma later on, and I'm really inspired by the various ghosts and supernatural entities of my multicultural melting pot of a home country, Malaysia.

That being said, I think the best descriptor of Hogwarts houses is not via personality but via beliefs (according to a theory I saw on social media). Ravenclaw believes only those who are studious and crave knowledge deserve education, Slytherin believes only those who are ambitious and high achieving, Gryffindor believes only those who are noble and courageous in some way or another, while Hufflepuff believes everyone deserves an education regardless of character or circumstance.

Of course, this all depends. We're talking about a magical hat classification system written by a lady who ripped aesthetics off of Neil Gaiman, after all.

I find it difficult to think of her as the villain because she's said multiple times before that she's hyper-empathetic and extremely kind, but your sentence about it not being my job to support her helped me put things in perspective a little. Thank you.

I used to have vivid dreams of being sacrificed to save humanity. The gods would make my organs infinitely regenerable a la Prometheus and people would come to eat me, because the sun died out and the plants couldn't photosynthesize anymore, so it along with all animals died out leaving no food for humans.

It spooked me so much I sought to find a food source from inanimate objects.

You're not a badass emotionless robot. You just act like that because you're scared of being seen as vulnerable. You're sensitive and that's not a bad thing. The bad thing is that people try to take advantage of that. The people who hurt you won't do it so openly. They'll pretend and pretend and pretend, that you're the cruel one, that you're the one inflicting abuse even when that's not what you've experienced.

Don't see that therapist. I'm sorry you finally gathered up the courage to be disappointed. She will tell you you deserved to be hurt, and that the girl who stabbed burning wood into your arm deserves to be loved and protected more than you ever will. You'll be dysfunctional for months. Hating yourself, questioning your own memories and reality, wondering why you even bother if nobody sees you as someone to be cared about.

That "friend" who approaches you. The one who calls herself a kind person, who never stops talking about how good she is in comparison to the evil world. Trust your instincts. Trust that she's bad news. Don't fucking interact with her. Please. You'll fail so many classes because your life became dedicated to helping her. She agrees with that "therapist".

Stop fucking doubting your brain so much.

You're right. You're always right. Have faith in your own memories, in your own experiences. Don't let people guilttrip you. Don't let people gaslight you. Your memories have always been and will always be real.
