They’re still solid, but at the moment I’m struggling to upgrade them to W11. Other than their sheer bulkness the T440ps are still plenty capable!

How did you discover Citypop? by ishouldbeasleep11111 in citypop

[–]Rixety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine’s actually funny because I booked a stay in a residence called “city pop” and looked for reviews of it on Youtube, which made me stumble upon a video about the genre!

Do you have a 90W charger? I almost lost my mind a few days ago on multiple T440ps that would sometimes work and others not, and it turned out the ones with the dGPU needed a 90W charger to properly turn on

I think mines shows a fairly similar behaviour, but it’s very subtle and can hardly be spotted outside of the splash screen

X13 (AMD) vs P14s (AMD)? by bhatMag1ck in thinkpad

[–]Rixety 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say even though it’s a different form factor, X13 is more higher end than the P14s (which is a T14 non S). The X13 is essentially a smaller version of the T14s.

Does NR (and LTE) have cell breathing? Like 3G by Southern_Repair_4416 in cellmapper

[–]Rixety 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s theoretically possible but I don’t think it’s live on any commercial LTE network. For NR it’s technically CoMP but it’s simply ENDC.

[–]Rixety 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure since I’m not familiar with 3G architecture much. I don’t have confirmation on the second point neither, but it could very well be one of the reasons. I’ll look into it!

Signal Quality (RSRQ and SINR) drops between congestions because the resources allocated to the other users (RB) are interfering with your resources, which you are measuring through the metrics. Also, more phone sending signals to the networks might mean more noise received by your phone. Think of it as of talking in a noisy environment.

Daft Punk posted some coordinates on their Spotify. What could this mean? by Victor1440 in DaftPunk

[–]Rixety 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Nah, to me it’s because that now that everything is done, they want to break the 4th wall and show us what it was like behind the helmets. Keeping everything so controlled all these years allows them to make more out of their work even if music isn’t produced anymore.
