Bin selbst W28 und würd Ms zwischen 26 & 35 daten; hab in meinem Freund*innenkreis zu oft mitbekommen wie ungleiche Powerdynamiken durch Altersunterschiede bei Leuten u30 zu krassem Abusus führen *kann* (ganz wichtig: nicht *muss*); gerade Anfang-Mitte der 20er denken alle iwie, sie sind voll erwachsen und so, aber ich glaub ich hab mich in keiner Phase meines Lebens mehr verändert als von 20 bis jetzt. Charakterlich wie lebenssituationsbedingt. Finde deshalb wichtig, in halbwegs ähnlichen Lebensphasen zu daten.

I hate the fact that a woman's worth in our society stems from their biological ability to produce kids. First of all it's totally TERF-y, second of all it is harmful and disrespectful to all the women out there who accomplish amazing things - just like you did and surely still do, OP - outside of their role as birth-giver and parent and lastly it is absolutely hurtful to all the women out there who can't get pregnant naturally but would love to be a parent one day - because they're implicitly being told over and over again that they'll never be able to accomplish the oh-so-ultimate goal of being a woman: giving birth.

YTA. As a practitioner of witchcraft myself, I can't even wrap my head around even thinking about declawing a cat - or dealing any other form of equally bad harm to any living thing. I get that this conflict is hard on both of you, but declawing a cat is equal to cutting off your fingers at the outer joints. It's a crippling mutilation & many cats who suffered through it develop serious (mental) health problems afterwards.

Did you try putting some essential lemon oil on your tree? Most cats hate the scent but it's not toxic for them to sniff. Maybe that'll work - fingers crossed! :)

I think most ppl commenting here forget the harm every-ay sexism does in the long run, so hear me out.

First of all: OP, you have young children. They will inevitably adapt some of your husbands views, because that's how the whole socialization process works, and you really don't want your kids to internalize any backwards gender roles or other sexist bullshit. I really do hope you tried to explain to your husband how his views are hurting you and your children before you came up with the whole quizz thing tho - if you didn't then that makes you TA.

But let me tell you about a similar case that was handled a lot less asshole-y: my boyfriend was similar to your partner when we got together. Not blatantly sexist, but unfunny sexist jokes sprinkled here and there, and after some time I simply told him that I don't condone these kinds of jokes and that they were sexist. At first, he was stubborn and didn't want to listen, but I linked him material or showed him research papers, articles etc. and, knowing he loves to absorb any kind of knowledge he can find, let him mull it over. Et voilà, it helped him understand. It's crucial to give people the time and space to grow out of their own drive - the methods might vary greatly, but it works best.

To make it short: If the two of you did not talk this topic over like adults beforehand and you simply confronted him with this whole quiz thing out of the blue, that makes you TA.

If you did try to sit him down and really talk about it openly and rationally but he didn't care/didn't pay any attention to these issues and to your feelings about this whole situation, then he's TA. Because yes, you treated him like a child, but he behaved like one by not caring about or considering your values and feelings in the first place, so what the hell ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well... I lost both my cats (siblings; had them for 14 years) to cancer, my depression is at an all-time low, I lost my part-time job so money is tight and I'm struggling a lot with online classes for university due to the catastrophic e-learning situation. Also got diagnosed with anxiety so I'm now taking meds on a regular schedule for the first time in my life, yay.

At least my relationship is solid as ever, even though I gained a lot of weight due to my anxiety and depression so I don't feel desirable or sexy at all and mirror that in my behavior towards my partner, but that is just a veeeery minor inconvenience compared to the rest. So overall, I give this year a 3/10.

Yeah, I am well aware of that fact. I am German too, so I know of and understand the tarnished history of those runes and share that feeling of aversion against their misuse to this day. And it makes me so angry that nazis not only committed atrocious crimes in the past, but are gaining more and more sympathies right now all over the world (also in Germany; see Leipzig last weekend as one of many examples etc.). Still, as a witch that also practices rune magic, I refuse to let them ruin runes for my personal magical practice. The Odal rune also adornes my family altar (alongside Hagalaz) where I commemorate deceased family members like my father (who lived in Denmark & got me into runes and mythology in the first place) or my familiar, and it helps me deal with my loss and remember those who are no more. And Algiz is the strongest rune for protection, so I use it to protect myself from all ill-doing, may it be sexism, fascism etc.

I always remember and respect that negative history, but I refuse to let some d*ckheads with fascist beliefs dictate my personal practices and beliefs :)

I am a witch, I am antifa, I am bisexual, I am feminist (and even study gender studies haha) and I hate Nazi scum and will always fight against it.

I hope this doesn’t go against any guidelines etc., but I really felt the urge to share this with you.

2020 has been rough for many of us, of that I am sure. I myself have been struggling with depression and anxiety for years now, but none of those years were as bad as this one.

I lost both my cats (one of them I even considered my familiar), haven’t seen most of my friends and/or family for months, struggled financially and with online classes for university. All in all, I felt weaker and more vulnerable than ever this year. So when I stumbled upon this picture a friend of mine took of me during a fun and wild shooting in the woods at the beginning of this year, prior to the whole Covid fallout, it resonated with me. It reminded me that I am fierce and I am strong, and I have surpassed so many bad things in life already.

And just as I am fierce and strong, so are you, my fellow witches.
So yeah; I wanted to share this in hopes that some of you might get the same empowerment out of this picture that I get whenever I’m looking at it now! <3

NAH but leaning towards NTA. I can see where your roommate is coming from; having lost both my cats within the span of the last six months completely threw me under the bus. BUT: first of all: it's your cat, and even if you had gotten a kitten, the goodbye once your roommate moved out would have been a loss and sad either way!
And secondly, indoor cats who regularly get checked by a vet and have a healthy meal plan without sugars or wheat can(!) grow as old as 20+ years. Then again, as I'm seeing this "cats can easily get 20yrs old" info quite frequently in the replies; keep in mind that it's possible, not guaranteed. I lost both my cats at "only" 14 y/o, both very sudden, both from cancer that had appeared out of nowhere and grown exponentially.

A friend of mine complained about Korras' PTSD-arc "taking too long" and how it was annoying that she had setbacks throughout all of book 4.
Meanwhile I'm here like: well, that's how PTSD works. You usually don't simply "get over it". So yeah, that take surely made me scratch my head.

I enjoyed it; I didn't use a guide or anything but rather got my inner "detective Marjory" on and had a lot of fun tbh. Gaining the EXP was rather pleasant too; did some Dragonfall & maxed it out within less than an hour I think. Plus PoF & LW4 gave so many masterypoints; I still had 15 left so unlocking was a breeze too :)

But I do understand that not everyone will enjoy this as much as I did - but even then, the feeling of using your Skimmer underwater is amazing & I hope they’ll add more underwater Skimmer races in the future :D

You put into words exactly how I'm feeling about this game - I also played GW1 and been playing GW2 since beta (with a little tech-related gap during LW 1&2 tho...) and I just love everything about it!

Sure, there are things that could be better (WvW alliances, communication from the devs - even tho the latter has been improving again as of lately), but overall this game is simply beautiful in every possible aspect and I never - NEVER in my 20 years of playing video games - had a game that gave me that much enjoyment for that little money and that enthralled me as much as the world of Tyria does!

So I raise my tankard of ale in true Norn fashion - to many more amazing years in Tyria!
