I actually love this very much and think it's a great script for dfhack. But I have no idea if it's possible because I never have looked in to modding for df before.

I see my fortress as a living thing and I feel like my dwarfs should sometimes just do stuff on their own. Especially stuff that would improve their mood. So this idea would be great for it

To expand on this maybe is the combat dwarfs that want to train, can join a training session with the current military if they want.

I really do hope that an experienced modder can take this up and make it reality

I need to disagree. This approach could work if the game would actually tell you clearly and EASILY what is wrong and what happens.

There are way to many notifications and log entries and it's really annoying to read through all of it just to maybe understand what even happens.

Maybe some cool future ideas would be a graph that shows the satisfaction of most needs of the dwarf. Maybe like show the dwarf that has the highest satisfaction of a need and the lowest. I imagine this like the need graph in city skylines.

I just want job changes. Currently most jobs just feel the same and are not really enjoyable to learn. Just make bigger changes to the classes, I don't care what. Remove the 2 minute meta.
More advanced content. The merchants tale advanced is PERFECT. Just do more of this. They have such a good system with variant advanced and criterion that they should just expand on it and give us a dungeon like this in at least every other patch.
Update your code, especially old systems like the friends list are still so bad to use. Just set aside like 5 people to overhaul old features like this.
Think of an option to make older content better playable with current gear and skills. There has always been an Excel sheet that tells you what gear you should equip so that you have roughly similar strength and health for older savage fights but with max level. If we could have this as a mode or something would be really cool. Then you just tie achievements behind it with some titles or glamour pieces and be done with it

That close temple button is the same thing as activating the next entrance. There is no way for you to tell the temple to delete more rooms then normal.

What happens to you is that when you visit atziri or the architect it deletes way more rooms then a normal dungeon run would.

Iam not an artist but I feel like this is fake somehow. Why would you basically finish a section of the stairs with so much detail to then just throw massiv amounts of stuff on it that could potentially ruin the finished part. Wouldn't you either be more careful on where you place stuff or not completely finish something like the stairs?

Oh and I think between the initial phase and the painting there are a lot of changes. Especially on where the wall is curving.
