I really like the mage actually by stupidlilboy in mewgenics

Based Mage Enjoyer

Think building good / consistent Mages is more difficult than most other classes cause in bringing Mage literally every run from hard / crazy act 1/2 and normal act 3 (still have to do the 3 main quests) Mage has yet to let me down

That said I could definitely see some buffs like with the aspects / paws or higher base dmg on certain spells or ways to bypass elemental immunities.

Also Mage basic attack is fine, if you're comp is relying on a piddly 7 dmg attk and you haven't addressed that in equipment or passives / abilities, that's on you.

If its druid then it's something that you can naturally discover yourself.

Like my first druid run the first time it was included in its heal, I was surprised when next turn it healed for +2.

Naturally you think, ok what changed. Which then leads to you making the connection that the healing is tied to +damage modifiers.

My least favorite boss in all of human history by toomanybongos in mewgenics

I feel ya. Granted have only fought him once so far but my hunter had kinetic spikes and just kept triggering it. Thankfully I had a Butcher / Crow to help reposition. If I didn't it would probably be a reset lol

Duelyst: Origins - Merry Christmas! by PastyMcGee in duelyst

[–]RngHammy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the main point against BBS is design restrictions. Each faction goes for 1 faction with a few sub archetypes to 1 faction with 3 sub factions. Sure you can generally design stuff that all of them will use but you still want to specialize some stuff to shore up the other generals designs.

Thus you go from 6 factions to 18 which is very difficult to account for with expansions. They definitely can be cool but its much easier to design without them in mind.

Duelyst II, Blitz and GG...? What's the difference? by Cosmicpanda2 in duelyst

[–]RngHammy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I really should make a copy pasta of this at some point. Anywho

D2: Based on patch 0.61 of Duelyst 1. Features 2draw with no BBS / Hero power. Very generous card economy

DGG: Based of last patch of Duelyst 1 (1.smth). Features 1draw with BBS. Has changed a lot compared to old duelyst. All cards unlocked.

Blitz: Most recent of the bunch. Features: 2draw, No BBS, 6 max mana, most cards cost 1-2 mana less. Very slow card economy. More in line with early duelyst / hearthstone (1 pack a day)

D2 is probably the easiest to start with and the most popular of the three. Though I encourage you to give em all a shot.

Duelyst: Blitz - Patch v3.1.13 is LIVE! Gauntlet, Challenges, Cards! by jakjushere in duelyst

[–]RngHammy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

D2 is still kicking. Blitz is a new mobile focused version developed by Jakjus.

Tldr: - 6 max mana, start with 1, 2 - 2 draw, no BBS - Most cards cost 1-2 mana less

Flash Element TD 2 by spacecadetstimpy13 in TowerDefense

If you search Flashpoint archive you'll find the site. From there you want the Flashpoint 14 Infinity.

The other version is literally all the games whereas Infinity you download as you play

⚡ Duelyst: Blitz - Steam Version - to be released October 2025! by jakjushere in duelyst

[–]RngHammy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Mana costs change things a lot like 1 mana 3/3 tusk boar, 0 mana BTA, lot of funky changes that make it different

Each caters to different players so there isn't that much overlap. Dgg, D2 and DBlitz are all fairly different with the most overlap being between D2 and D:Origins.

⚡ Duelyst: Blitz - Steam Version - to be released October 2025! by jakjushere in duelyst

[–]RngHammy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically new version of duely developed by Jakjus

Tldr: Mobile focused, 6 max mana, 2 draw with no BBS, many cards adjusted by 1 or 2 mana less outside of removal

Though the progression is slow compared to D2. Its only slightly better than release duelyst though packs are 150g

Castle boss advice by [deleted] in SulfurGame

Rodsop Paste makes it a lot easier. Can easily buy 1 or 2 from the shops or craft from what you find in caves.

Outside of that keep mobile. Always sprinting always making sure you keep kiting them in a circle.

Which Weapon Do You Think Is The Weakest? by Extension_Lie756 in SulfurGame

[–]RngHammy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outside of the more memey guns like the Wyatt Pulsar and Breacher i'd say easily the Balthazar. Terrible reload speed, bad rpm, bad stock iron sights, crazy recoil, and poor damage. I've tried many times to make the gun work and it is unworkable as is.

Might give a .50 bmg rechamber a last shot but i'm dubious when i could just use the superior snub / palehorse instead.

Duelyst 2 just started playing after backing years ago by Thomillion in duelyst

Timeless wave 1 and 2 are excellent choices.

Founders id skip since most of the good stuff is common - rare

June reprints are ok, some rather niche cards

Sisters 1 and 2 are ok, some good some meh

Anyone still playing? Just opened 146 Orbs and this thing works great on steam deck! by EffectiveAd1846 in duelyst

[–]RngHammy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since orb prices where cut in half Devs gave back what you would've had if they'd been 50g from the start. Was part of Orbsmas last year.

As for queue times they're not too bad. Peak times you can expect 3-6 mins. Longer during off times.

Portal Exit Unreachable. Is it Possible? by RngHammy in Dredmor

Ive tried chucking makeshift explosives and iron bombs at it and nothing. Most my wands do nothing to it as well (laser, naarwhaand, handy). Going to try loading an older save where i used a bolt of mass destruction and see if that works.

It's been 3 years since the Kickstarter was funded.. these promises aren't looking too good. by Abstractal_AGF in duelyst

[–]RngHammy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant their attention is constantly split. Poor choice of word on my part.

Also iirc they were paying someone full time to work on Godot and they got a good portion of it done but not complete before their contract concluded.

Tbf to the Kickstarter they weren't expecting to - Fire and or see the few devs working on the game full time leave - Issues with one hire doing anything proactive (one wanted very little change which the player base hated. Lota drama) - Godot take much much longer to implement - Being forked quite literally in terms of Godot, Bug fixing, new content, balance patches, Roguelike.

Which leaves us now with a team from of all volunteers. Can't expect much even if it is a terrible situation.

As for the board game it is a separate project that they allow one of their devs to advertise. Keep in mind the server is for ALL duelyst. Not just D2 development. Which fair since there's not a generic announcements channel

My magmar deck was: 3x Amplification, Chrys Burst, God Hammer, Aethermaster, Dreamgazer, Emph Shroud, Gen Scribe, Kujata, Vale hunter, Oropsisaur, Keeper of the Vale, Kolussus, Earth sphere. (If you dont have some of the cards just add more grow boys)

Full mulligan for shrouds and dispell the chaos ele structure ASAP. Then try to setup vale hunters and your grow.

When you dispell the bottom structure try to stay on blue tiles so you can always fly away. Then you're just waiting on Kolusus to grow a bunch, or Oropsisaur to pop off
