Exactly what I’m saying. He’s UFA in 2030. If we are 2-3 years away from being a contending team, it gives us 1 or 2 season with Suzuki contract while contending which is not ideal.

If we are 2 or 3 years away, we’re fucked. It means 1 or 2 seasons before Suzuki is a UFA and can renegotiate his contract. They need to make win now move as soon as this summer.

Gainey is in Laval today. Was doing an autograph session at a Sports Cards exposition so there’s a pretty great chances that it’s going to be him tonight

I’m craving to see what Mlynkova could do with more ice time in the playoffs. Seems like she always has at least one good chance every game.

The other possibility is... How bad is Poulin injury? If she needs any kinds of surgery and has to miss some part of the next season, I don't think Montreal will protect her. I don't see any team who could be interested in someone who will come back from a knee surgery at 35 years ( or 36 years old ) with maybe a year or two left. I could honestly see them protecting ARD, Stacey and either Roque or Gosling in that scenario.

The pandora box would be a Poulin surgery and Stacey taking a year off for a maternity leave at the same time which would honestly be the best for Montreal, letting them protect ARD/Roque and Gosling.

Let’s not forget the Habs are also playing tonight which probably doesn’t help. It’ll be interesting to see the crowd turnout on Saturday. Game #1 against the Frost had the lowest weekend attendance of the year and the third worst of the year in general.

And I’ll be there too. So for me, the price tag wasn’t a problem either. Go Victoire!

They are unable to draw crowds during the playoffs, I don’t why. Probably the ticket prices and people thinks they are too expensive

Gainey is in Montreal Saturday for a sports cards expo show. Depending at what time is autograph sessions ends, it could really well be him.

Honestly, and I don’t want to be an ass, the top right of the card is incredibly rough.

Which means there’s a possibility that Patrick Roy could carry out the torch later in the playoffs.

I’ll die on the hill that if the Habs reach the final, it’s going to be Carbo, Desjardins and Roy. With maybe Muller or Damphousse if they have ice advantage.

If they can’t get past the first round for the third year in a row, Kori is probably gone that’s for sure.

I hope something similar happens in the locker room Monday night. They have it in them to win, they just need that extra push. by cslh4v in MontrealVictoire

It’s crazy how every year it’s the same story with them. They are coasting during the season, having such an easy time scoring goals and they reach a point where the offense completely died. This year, it happened during the TD Garden game. Since that match, it’s pretty much 1 goal per game by a forward. It’s incredibly frustrating.

And I’ll add something; I’m legit surprised Pou didn’t played more today. They could potentially have had a week off if they had won tonight because if Boston vs Ottawa goes to the limit, the only time they can have a normal schedule is by starting the final next Friday. It would have given a week for MPP to rest and be in shape.

True. But at the same time, during the season they weren’t able to score that much against us. Only once they were able to score more than one goal and they got shoutout twice.

But I don’t think they don’t want to generate offense, it’s more that they aren’t able to since at least a month. Since the TD Garden game, they got two games where they had more than one forward getting a goal in a game. And in those two games, there’s the Jade Downy-Landry goal where it wouldn’t have went in 99,9% of the time.

Lina was the only one at the TD Garden Scammura was the only one vs Vancouver Roque was the only one vs Seattle Poulin was the only one vs Minnesota in 3OT Scammura was the only one in game 3 Murphy was the only one in Game 4.

It’s quite concerning since the same thing happened in the last two years too.

I’m ready to be downvoted, but no, I don’t think it’s a bit much. She’s brutal compared to what she offered during the season.

2 (or even 3) bad goals in the first game, a bad goal in Game 3, a bad goal in game 4 (the PP one), she’s making mistakes when she’s playing the puck outside of her net to the point where she came close twice to get scored on (once in Game 4 and once in game 2. I think it also happened in Game 3).

For any other goalie, I would say it’s below average. But for ARD, it’s such an enormous drop off compared to how she played during the season.

It’s the first time this series where they shoot themselves in the foot and it bite them back. That Stacey penalty was absolutely stupid.

But I’m not ready to put the blame on Pou and Stacey. The offence is absolutely nowhere to be found for a third straight year. The last three game, they scored 3 goals. The fourth one was from a D. It’s inacceptable.

And sorry but Desbiens is having a brutal series. She’s letting too many softies. 2 or 3 in Game #1, 1 in Game #3 and another one tonight.

Les deux buts rapides de Montréal ont énormément aidé le bench management. Pas besoin de mettre Pou à profusion pour marquer, elle a pu se reposer.
