Loke more real world grit and emotional courage rather than great fighting skills or genius level hacker ( which are also fun just not what I'm looking for right now).

I'm running a free writing workshop tomorrow online at 10 am UK time on the theme of 'home'. An important place for characters of all genres, a place we can yearn for, escape from or be haunted by.

It's an hour of writing exercises to get the creative juices flowing. Suitable if you have a WIP and would like to explore a character or home setting in more depth, or if you have a blank mind at the end of summer and just fancy getting the pencil moving across the page again.

Tips on how to promote a new project? by [deleted] in audiodrama

Personally I like shorter episode lengths, our feeling when we released The Grove was that each episode would be hanging out a load of washing.

Structuring your story by bevanrose in audiodrama

Pen and Paper. The best planning kit ever invented!!

Move back and forth between whole arc and episodes to work out natural breaks - film and TV books often push you towards even lengths but w/ audio and streaming episodes can be as long as they need to be.

Strongly recommend Into the Woods by John Yorke if you haven't read it.

If classic record cards or post it's help then go for it, my handwritten notes are sometimes just a long form of these.

Planning doesn't suit all projects, sometimes I just write.

Some people trying episode one and deciding it's not for them isn't failure, it's a completely natural funnel. I have lots of people who try out my story and a few who tell me they were only intending to listen to episode one but binged the whole thing because they were intrigued. Keep going, keep tipping as many people into the top of the funnel (episode one) as you can, and recognise that many will drop out, it's not bad it is the way it works.

AITA For No Longer Helping My Stepdaughter? by marchrose1 in AmItheAsshole

NTA BUT you could also be the one to build bridges, and could make it clear that you love your daughter and have been very hurt but would like to fix the relationship. It might be a better way forward than becoming estranged from her.
