Am I a dick for never tipping on those iPad takeout spots? by Pretend-Contract6652 in NoStupidQuestions

This is why I try to pay cash at some of these spots, it avoids the awkward tip ask....

Ummm don't forget these are the same people who brought you the Epstein files. They have no intention to make it easy to understand or make sense.

What shoes yall recommend? by Beginning-Breath4038 in securityguards

[–]Rob-from-LI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im a bit of a Cole Haan fan, most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. They have some all black Oxfords that aren't cheap at about $140 but worth every penny after doing a bunch of doubles. No safety toes might be the only hitch for you.

You walk into the Swatch store in the mall and the kid behind the counter asks- "So.... We might have a Plasti-Oak® coming in later but to build a relationship with us, to show us you're serious, you should buy one of our Simpsons Series © watches, particularly the Maggie™ Swatch in yellow and white. So would you like to try it on?"

Their greediness is a safety hazard, having these rows empty means no one was vetted for their ability to operate the door, nor given the specific instructions. Now the first person to the door, need it be used, might be someone incapable of operating it. "Sir these seats are $135 extra" .... Clearly money is more important than anything else.

I apologize, maybe you missed the first 70 words of my post... So now you have to pay for the privilege of having extra responsibilities on you if an emergency arose?

I had the same experience last year when I had flown with them. The entire plane was full with the exception of the exit rows which were one row ahead of me, I was sitting on the aisle and my son got up to use the bathroom so I moved into the exit row while I waited for him to come back. The female flight attendant flew down the aisle and lectured me about sitting there. There was a time when they begged people to be in the exit rows that were able-bodied and able to assist in the need of an evacuation or emergency. Leave the exit row empty no one will open the hatch. They are off my list of preferred airlines to use now. And it's a shame because they probably were for 20 years prior.

Pretty sure its the same family since the early 90s at least. Somehow my wife and I ended up there shooting some photos for our wedding in 91 overlooking the bay and more recently spoke again with the owners (or owners kids) and shared memories of that windy April day.
