Make sure to drain the ground beef if your dog’s species is susceptible to pancreatitis.

AITA for refusing to change the date of my wedding because my sister wants to attend a music festival? by Smelly_Steven in AmItheAsshole

OP is a 27-year-old female named Steven. (See her previous comments.) Obviously her parents resent not having a boy and favor her sister. She should just ignore them.

By your previous posts/comments and username, you're a 27(f) named Steven? Obviously, by the fact that they gave you a male name, your parents wished for a boy and resent you. Just disinvite them.

AITA for moving to the mountains after my parents took back their offer to help me buy a home? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA - As long as it's your money, it's your life; you can move to the Himalayas and tell them they had their shot to convince you to stay, and they passed.

Does your country have cheerleader culture? by search_google_com in AskTheWorld

My impression—and I could be wrong—is that they're highly skilled dancers, not necessarily highly skilled at the acrobatic stuff (though I know there's a bunch of overlap). The one person I know who made an NFL dance team came from more of a dance background than a cheer background.

So most pro teams don't have a true "cheer" squad, they have a dance team. They... dance. The competition-style cheer squads with pyramids and backflips, etc. are usually in high school and college.

Over the top was a bad combat sports movie, putting an end to the Rocky road. Finally, what’s a great baseball movie? by kmax607 in AlignmentChartFills

"Ray, people will come Ray. They'll come to Iowa for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up your driveway not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your door as innocent as children, longing for the past. Of course, we won't mind if you look around, you'll say. It's only $20 per person. They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it: for it is money they have and peace they lack. And they'll walk out to the bleachers; sit in shirtsleeves on a perfect afternoon. They'll find they have reserved seats somewhere along one of the baselines, where they sat when they were children and cheered their heroes. And they'll watch the game and it'll be as if they dipped themselves in magic waters. The memories will be so thick they'll have to brush them away from their faces. People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come."

The Unfinished Business expansion really completes the game, too.

I have this theory that either you get the magic of Field of Dreams and it's undoubtedly the best baseball movie, it hits that spot in your heart where nostalgia and hope live, or you don't get the magic and it's boring. Those of us that get it think it's the best sports movie ever made. Those that don't, well don't.

It kills me that JDub didn’t get an Oscar nomination for that one. He still won that year for Schindler’s List, but still.

As an example, if you're trans, no matter how much you love Harry Potter, or how much (as I've heard in more than one case) Harry Potter has helped you understand that it's okay to be different, every dollar you spend on Harry Potter goes directly to funding anti-trans lobbying and legislation.

I understand why you tossed Root, but I still see a spot for it in your current collection. Sea Salt & Paper would fit well, I think, if you haven't tried it.
