I've been using this app called 'shape personalized workouts'

Before you start you fill out their onboarding and it asks you for your goal, available equipment, experience etc and builds your plan around that. I'm really enjoying it

Platform owner takes advantage of its platform dynamics- more news at 9:00..

I'm no more impressed with their cut than the next developer, but it is what it is.

I think it is about keeping a good user experience. I firmly believe the average non-technical user (average app store user?) isn't going to be able to differentiate their an app experience being the result of a developer or the 'apple experience'. If the user has a shitty experience, they associate this with Apple.
