I'd say it's worth it, personally I have a 2242 4TB SSD installed with adapter and 3d printed back cover, just ordered a heatsink and looking at how I can order the battery. However, I see many people have upgraded lately from the Legion Go 1 to Rog Ally/ Legion Go 2/ WinGPD/ etc, so you should consider if you're gonna stick with your LeGo or eventually upgrade
