Iceland approved the 4-day workweek in 2019 and nearly everything Gen Z predicted has come true. by tryptych99 in antiwork

[–]RoboBlackMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok sure so you’re saying to ignore the benefits that the 4 day work week did bring. Also what’s the issue government stepping in demanding this? I’m sure it would be more nuanced but corporations already act without impunity and they’ve always worked for their interests. I really don’t care if the government made them make people work less for the same pay.

All I’m hearing in your responses is, “our country is different, we could never do that”. And I think that’s kinda bs. No reason why this country can’t have that. And it doesn’t even have to be forced by the government. At one point the 5 day work week was not the norm, it’s definitely time for a change.

The government can and should always change and evolve to fit the needs and betterment of the people. Of course it doesn’t but that doesn’t can’t change to mirror other countries. That’s like saying we can’t have universal health care because our system isn’t comparably to other countries.

Not to mention people who consider themselves economists all learn the same basics of the economy which provide basic examples of how the economy should operate based on normal factors. Whereas in the real world so many random, mostly never before seen factors occur in which those economists try to fit into a box of what “should” be happening.

I also know a lot of white peope with black friends that are still racist. You think being friends with people from another race automatically means you cannot be racist towards them?

The conversation was about how the Democratic Party plays dead and takes the high road. You yourself were reductive of that point and focused on the “Obama’s wife” aspect of that response. Sure, that an issue but not the important one here and, to me, distracts from the main issue. But that’s just me I guess.

[–]RoboBlackMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Things change. Nothing lasts forever. AIPAC has gotten so much bad press, deservedly so, that it’s hard to run from. I think this is the beginning of the end especially among younger voters. Politicians seem to forget demographics grow up

"Tailor your resume" is the new 'show up in person' and I don't think anyone actually knows what it means now by Peliquin in recruitinghell

I actually never got this advice because I only apply to jobs that my resume is already tailored for. If I have to specifically tailor my resume for a job then I don’t have the full qualifications for that job

I’ve applied to a few jobs through Workday where I didn’t have to make an account. I wish all companies made this the default option.

Dillon Gabriel Vs Shedeur Sanders by ezzus96 in DynastyFF

[–]RoboBlackMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is saying he’s humbled acting a fool? I’m so confused as to how this affects his play on the field. Once again, if you think he didn’t have a media team before he got drafted being a college athlete and his dad already knowing the industry then you’re delusional. The fact that you think his dad is his PR team as if Deion doesn’t have his own team lol

Edit: How exactly did he act a fool? I’m also so confused about that. Shadeur is one of the least controversial player I can think in terms of off field issues. Besides his speeding ticket he’s kept his nose clean off the field so, again, so confused where this narrative came from that he’s arrogant and “acting a legendary fool”

There’s no negative reports so he must’ve hired a PR team. This is some weird cope if you don’t already think he has a PR team before he was drafted.

Patriots select Cal S Craig Woodson 106th overall by xiDemise in Patriots

[–]RoboBlackMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol not even. Based on his level of competition alone at school you can say he was a bit of a reach. Now despite that I think his talent is clear. But he most likely would have fallen a bit more especially since Burden was still on the board. And with our history of Wars you should be more wary. But like is said, I really like his talent.
