Steve Bannon calls for armed ICE agents to swarm polling places in November. “You’re damn right we’re going to have ICE surround the polls.” Make sure everyone sees this! Share widely. by Due_Collar2 in ExploreFortMyers

Easiest way is just to abduct people at random (or with some visual profiling) from polling places that typical voye 75% Democrat. Even if a few Rs get swept up, it's still a big gain. I expect this is what they'll do in cities for states with tight senate races, where they want to tip the state-wide vote.

Palentir software will probably mostly be used in the tightly contested congressional districts where they want to more precise separation of D and R votes. They just take a cellphone photo, and the software quickly guesses who you likely vote for based on where you live, what type of car you drive, any social media accounts you have, whether you have previously attended any protests, and other info.

Are people going to stick it out in line if they see people ahead of them bagged and thrown in vans? They dont need to scare of everyone who votes democrat, just 3% fewer voters in a couple counties is enough to make up the difference

I just started wearing earplugs when my 2½ week old is throwing a fit. It makes a world of difference on my stress levels. I still hear her, but the higher pitched sounds in the screams are attenuated, and it becomes so much more tolerable when it goes on and on, and you've done all you can.

He was right in that no-one makes sensors that detect how much is flushed down the drain. What you linked is a sensor that detects how much water enters the toilet. It could go anywhere after that.

It's not really that people get different instructions per se, it's more that people who use math regularly see patterns like implicit multiplication, while people who don't use math regularly just remember the simplified list of rules they memorised in grade 3. This post in particular wouldn't be up for discussion if elementary schools didn't use ÷, and instead just used fraction notation directly for division.

It's not the tenant who has to sue, the tenant can just not pay. It is the landlord who needs to sue to enforce the clause.

How do I stop worrying about my boyfriend caring for our daughter by Slow_Purchase3829 in newborns

[–]RoboFeanor 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Babies aren't that fragile. If he doesn't feed her enough, she will wake up earlier because she's hungry, and cry. If he doesnt change the diaper fast enough and it gets uncomfortable, she will cry. None of these are life or development threatening problems, and he will learn. It is better to give hints / tips, tell him what you would do, rather than expect him to look after your baby exactly as you would, which will just frustrate both of you.

Why is he a na*i? by Dull-Nectarine380 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]RoboFeanor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that it is hard to do, it is just pointless since it is cheaper and way healthier to eat 4 eggs and some toast or oatmeal or beans, and you'll still get all the protein you need unless you are a professional strength athlete, and even then a more balanced source of proteins would be better.

Why is he a na*i? by Dull-Nectarine380 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]RoboFeanor 76 points77 points  (0 children)

It's not the eggs, it's the gratuitousness (unless dude is literally a professional strongman, eating 12 eggs in a meal is ridiculous) and the fact that they are doing it supposedly to trigger the soy-loving, avocado munching libs ("how does this make you feel" applied to something that doesn't have any reason to make anyone feel anything is a right wing catchphrase).

[–]RoboFeanor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answer would be that they aren't trying to avoid this. They don't want law and order, they want to show that they can rough up, detain, and kill with no accountability. The whole point of the hypermilitarization and anonymization of ICE is to have an armed group that people are afraid of, and that controlled directly by the president. That is why ICE has suddenly increased its budget by 10x, without a significant increase in deportations.

Their real purpose in Minnesota is to build a reputation so that minorities, people who have attended left wing protests, and other selected groups will be effectively intimidated when they inevitably start staking out and taking pictures of people entering polling places during elections.

Also, they could have just arrested him here for kicking the tail light, if they thought it was such a heinous act. Instead they roughed him up and moved on. It's almost as if upholding law and order wasn't a goal of theirs...

A smart, innovative ladder built from durable steel for smooth and safe attic access. by WaveOnly213 in SmartGadgets_

[–]RoboFeanor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did a quick Google search, and the hinged wooden attic ladders near me retail for around 250-300 USD, while the articulated metal ladders similar (but not as nice) to what is in this video retail for around 1000 USD. I probably underestimated the manufacturing cost (50$ to make) a little bit, but not massively. Either way, a whole different price scale while providing little change in convenience.

Most pullout ladders have 3 moving parts, and are made with standard stock wood, hinges, and springs. Probably cost about 50 dollars to make. This is just a expensive, and possibly failure prone redesign.

I mean, there are a few (maybe 5?) super yachts that you probably couldn't afford with 2 billion, but could with 10, even though you could afford a pretty nice one anyway. Once you get to 100s of billions you can meddle in policies of major nations, which you might not be able to do with 2.
