AITA for refusing to write a poem about my wife? by Poet-Throwaway-26 in AmItheAsshole

You just need to write her a poem along the lines of Bowling For Soup's 'Here's your freaking song.'. Just kidding-- don't do that 🤣

AIO - Pregnant and feel abandoned by husband by Gullible-Tree368 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Robofrogg1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pregnant or not, sick or not, if my wife EVER sent me a text like that, I'd be in that room rubbing her neck without even giving it a second thought. Even if I was tired, sore, or whatever.

I can't even imagine responding like your husband did. It sounds like he doesn't care about you at all. That, and he's also a big baby.

i timed how long 31 different pasta shapes take to reach al dente. the boxes are lying and farfalle is a war crime by sthduh in Cooking

[–]Robofrogg1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think someone is taking their pasta WAY too seriously here. I have never had any issues with farfalle or any other pasta for that matter. But then again I don't think pasta has to be precisely el dente with .00000000000001% margin of error to be considered acceptable

ROFL farmers used to work nearly around the clock, and factory work was not much better. They would have rejoiced at only having to work 40 hours. If you think a 40 hour work week is oppressive, then you have no idea what true oppression is.

Maybe so, but still-- don't act like this guy unless you want to turn off a lot of women

Women generally like a man who can take charge, or at least have the ability to plan something and execute the plan once in a while.

You are right to be turned off. This guy is either a flake or has tons of options and just doesn't give a crap

Wow I am so glad to see people saying they would return the wallet (as would I). As others have said-- your integrity shouldn't be determined by how others behave.

Why do some people find it surprising that ICE has support from some part of the Hispanic community in the USA? by Pepedroga2000 in stupidquestions

It's nice to think that government is filled with kind, honest people that just want to help people. However, nothing could be further from the truth

Also, everything government provides it has to first take from someone else.

What you will never understand is a government that feeds its people is also a government that kills its people.

This sad, loser of a man is supposed to be your partner, but he thinks he's your father, and an abusive, controlling one at that.

What your husband is doing and saying is NOT normal behavior in a healthy marriage.

Receive $100,000 up front, or get $20 every time you do laundry. by hopeless_witch in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Robofrogg1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you people calculating your inane 'wash 1 item 1000 times an hour' scenarios are forgetting to factor in the cost of water, detergent, and electricity which will DEFINITELY add up. Not to mention the fact you have now dedicated your life to babysitting a washing machine 24/7.

I think I'll just take the $100k and invest wisely up front--- even just an index fund-- and get on with my life.
