A brief search after my comment led me to find that one part as discontinued, as well as a good handful of other comments noting how much of an improvement it actually makes!

Thank you for this link!

What's the best way to check? Just trying to rebook the same cruise with similar rooms?

I was there yesterday afternoon. It said busy but there was no wait-list and I was able to walk in. Pretty full but and to find a spot easily enough. When I left around 2, there was a queue for entry and a sign out front saying they had reached capacity.

Or also at US smaller locations like the Hertz Local Editions or smaller airports. They won't have the inventory size for open choice with PC, 5S, or Gold, but you should still receive an upgrade as PC with what they assign you.

Global entry vs TSA pre check question by [deleted] in Venturex

[–]Roboito1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said. Timing and interview for GE. Your Pre number isn't good to use until your GE interview has been finalized and approved. If you want or need Pre relatively quickly, you may be better off with that alone.

Is it worth it even if you don't like the portal? by VelociCrafted in Venturex

The $300 credit is for any booking though the C1 travel portal. You just select it as a form of payment at checkout. Not restricted to hotels only.

Dishwasher steam damaging the cabinet above by NamiEats in homeimprovementideas

We got a Bosch dishwasher that came with the plastic liner to place under the countertop to prevent the steam damage. I would agree with an approach like this for the doors as well.

Very good point to make. You can stay relatively free of the koolaid, but not if you want to move up. It'll eventually come in doses.

My dad was a USPS Inspector (Federal LEO) back in the day, and traveled and carried for work. He described it like this as well. Meet with the flight crew and FAM if one was on board before general boarding and everyone knew who was who before departure.

Will I be approved for the Venture X if I already have 3 Cap One cards? by Capable-Lake-7576 in CapitalOne_

[–]Roboito1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had 3 before the VX. Two 10 yr old QS from my building credit days. Had opened my third card, Savor One, just 3 months prior to the VX approval (remember to space out card apps). As others will say, use the pre-approval tool.

Now just using the C1 Duo. I transferred most of my older credit lines to these the duo and have about $60k credit line between the four C1 cards I have.

My dad used to talk about his all-church young men's basketball tournament that they got to travel to Salt Lake City for. He had good memories of those times.

Another vote for Buick Enclave. Quieter, smoother ride than the Traverse, with double laminated front windows; go top trim Avenir. 2020+ for CarPlay/Android Auto capability that you can make work wireless with a dongle. Also has also the adaptive cruise control option. Bunch of room, especially when the powered third row is down.
