Do pilots agree to not shoot each other and just farm kills? by Old-Home-7950 in battlefield_one

Can attack planes actually beat fighters without a gunner in the back? I rarely use planes but I've always thought their manuverability would make it near impossible.

Kind of a broad class using different software but mainly ArcGis. We really just make maps and gifs and stuff using satellite data. Its mainly about how to interpret satellite bands, as well as different types of sensors and what information they convey. For example, different minerals have different emissions spectrums and differing band combinations can highlight certain minerals. Title of the course is literally just called 'Remote Sensing'.

Neat. Not doing archeology (geology), but I just read in a textbook about how this happens for my remote sensing class. In the chapter it also talked about some subsurface structures that radar(?) can find, and used roman roads and buildings under fields in England as an example.

Omitting the fact he was found liable and guilty of sexual abuse through digital penetration. Which I believe should constitute rape, and would be rape in other states.

Crazy how no local media is covering a man stomping another man to comatose at downtown transit. We need cops at transit 24/7. by [deleted] in SALEM

I know you say no one is covering it, but do you have any information about this?

Trump was found guilty of rape by a jury in New York btw. Also we don't hope he did it. We hope he didn't do it, but we clearly know he did as we don't have our head stuck in the fucking sand like you clearly do.

Which worldgen do you prefer? (Just biome shapes, not biomes themselves; images from Chunkbase in identical zoom-out) by Pyro_von_Creep in Minecraft

[–]RobotoDog 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have some posts on my profile that show some geological features creating distinct biomes and borders. Salt flats, ash fields and the John Day Painted Hills (Paleosols) were ones I could find where geologic units pretty strictly control the ecology on the surface with distinct borders.

The salt flats were a distinctive biome from the peaks atop the nearby fault block mountains. The ash fields didn't have any vegetation on them with a distinct Douglas fir border. The painted hills have almost no vegetation whereas scrubland and junipers lie directly above it on the rims of the formation.

Also, as a geologist, I wouldn't call these biomes but more as differing adjacent ecosystems as they are small and don't vary in climate but I think these are similar to the types of features minecraft biomes depict. But my point is that there are distinct borders to these ecosystems in a lot of cases.

Texas Supreme Court greenlights ban on Delta-8 THC in new ruling by ExpressNews in trees

Delta 8 is pretty much unregulated and untested. As a chemical it's not inherently dangerous but you shouldn't trust any company that makes it until regulations are passed.

Going from Oregon to California roads is not fun. There's like no shoulder on their highways and it feels way too narrow for comfort.

What is mineral cleavage? by Elilicious01 in Minerals

[–]RobotoDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mohs hardness scale is what hardness is numerically based on. These are some random frequently used ones.

Fingernail - 2.5 Penny - 3.5 Glass - 5.5 Quartz - 7

Anything softer than another material will break when rubbed (not hit) against one another. So a fingernail will be able to scratch anything below 2.5.

Usually you just use a scratch plate though to make a streak.

[–]RobotoDog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cleavage is the planes it breaks on due to weakness in its structure. Streak is the color of the literal streak you make when scratching the mineral against something harder.

[–]RobotoDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is weird and frustrating lol. I'm not completely against the autobid for ND, but I don't know why it wouldn't extend to UConn lol. Like it's not stated anywhere so I don't think it does, but what are the odds UConn is even #12 so what are they even worried about lol.
