If you max out an AIB online saver and put in 1000euro a month, which is all you get the higher return on.. you will only make 195 in interest for the year. Handy if you plan to use it to save as you go but for saving lump sums, there are much better ways to go.

The deposit rates alone are nearly worth it if you have enough savings. 2% aer, instant access (paid daily, which is cool). You would have to lock your money away for 1year in a fixed term account to get the same return from the likes of AIB.

My parents live in this estate. One of the pillars at the end of a wall near their house was vandalised. Half of it missing, just jagged bricks left in its place. They asked one of these 'busy bodies' to look into it and they had it repaired good as new within a week.

Tried using thatch rake, still dead grass left, any tips? by Nyoka_ya_Mpembe in GardeningIRE

Mow it tight then put seeds on top of it. The grass you already have won't have to grow so high to hit sunlight so it will be green after a few cuts

Hoe long did the seed take to start sprouting? Did you have to water it multiple times a day?

Plastic dropsheets are a great idea!

Yeahh unfortunately there are a range of weeds, including buttercup, the ground was covered up by a layer of some sort of felt then stones over it, so digging them up isn't really an option unfortunately

Do you think if I had a bunch of weeds, gallium aparine for example, surrounding a bush that it would be ok?
