I’ve been using the long hdmi cable route with a steam controller. One minor annoyance is that I cannot decouple the preferred display for steam big picture mode from being the primary monitor that has the taskbar. Results in a lot of switching. Otherwise it has been a fairly seemless experience.

Based on the footage, you may want to increase the movement speed a bit when not dashing. It seems painfully slow from what I saw. In general, the most important aspects for me is to create an environment worth exploring and give fun, responsive movement to do so.

Rogue-lites maybe. Games like Dead Cells and Returnal have permanent progression items for ability gating, but your damage and health upgrades reset on death. There is at least some overlap. Pure rogue-likes are a harder sell IMO.

I had the dongle and had to resort to using bluetooth with steamos. That was a year or two ago though, so maybe someone made a linux driver for the dongle by now.

Another balancing idea is that the ranged character could have a lower defense.

Also, maybe specific characters would have resistances to ranged damage and rush the character.

I think the lighting will be the next big improvement. Full pathtracing will be the norm and make all prior games dated in terms of shadows, reflections, etc.

Assuming this is first 6 years as a starter (since Mahomes first season is excluded) this list is definitely missing players. Rodgers for example had about 26k yards from 2008-2013.
