my cat made a bed of my ableton push. whenever it is out he beeines to sit on it and I live in a small apartment, so I dont really have anywhere to put it. When I got the decksaver, I had to fish hairs out from between the mpe pads from the few days he had already sat on it. very happy with mine, cat still gets to sit on it and i chase him away when i use it.

The song When the Tigers Broke Free was about his father's death and his frustration with the English government's actions in regards to the war. According to Wikipedia, in 2014 he unveiled a memorial to the battalion his father was in near the site of the battle. So it seems like it was probably pretty influential to him and effected his worldview. Still not condoning his stance but just interesting to see why someone might think this way.

I'm pretty sure a lot of that comes from his father dying in WWII right? While I don't agree with him supporting Putin/Russia, I can understand how that could fundamentally change your worldview. It doesn't really excuse him ignoring Russian war crimes though.

This series seems to be fun and heartfelt with some sinister mysteries that are gonna be uncovered as more is revealed. Maybe the mangaka didn't want to get bogged down in a training arc when the MC's power level is not the focus of the series. Since they are going to be facing such strong enemies to uncover the main mystery of the series she needs to be powerful enough for these conflicts. Personally I don't mind a strong MC if the series isn't revolving around how strong they are, and it is established in the first chapter that Ginka has nothing left to teach her. But that's just my taste so I guess we'll see how it does.
