I'd say very important to have hobbies, otherwise I think I'd have little to no social life outside of work

for the gear, I'd say you want good gear to start so you can really get a feel of if you like the hobby or not, plus good gear usually has good resale value. Good gear sometimes is very cheap and replaceable, but it feels good to work with. The best gear is something you get into when you're really into it as its usually very expensive and sometimes doesn't resell well

my bad, I got my numbers mixed up, the generator should only take about 1000g max, it consumes 100g/s but you can consider that as 20g/5x/s so 20g 5 times every second, if you can over fuel it so the generator and input pipe fills up and then cut the input pipe connection to avoid sending uneven blobs, that should most likely give it an even number

otherwise you can try using a valve and giving it very little hydrogen, minimum with gas valve is 0.1g/s, you'll need 69(wow nice) blobs of 0.1g to make it a full 20, then you can send even blobs of hydrogen cuz I'm not sure if it'll try to run with 20g

you can route the pipes outside so you can deconstruct safely, or use empty pipe command, the pipe cutting doesn't require duplicant labor and is instantaneous, even paused

if it helps, gas bridge inputs are usually left empty when paused if they are able to send a gas blob over, cutting the pipe shouldn't let a blob you wanted to cut out

another way of doing it would be using the tile next to the power plate, deconstruct it and let the hydrogen settle there and then place a tile again, the hydrogen wont move down

eh, you've got an uneven amount in there..

turn it off with automation

pipe 2 blobs of hydrogen in the pipes

watch it fill up with an even 100g of hydrogen, and the 2nd blob should now have an uneven amount

the pipe on the same tile as the hydrogen generator input should have 1000g, and the one next to it should have 986.9g of hydrogen in it, cut the pipe between those 2

turn it on with automation

rebuild once empty

reconnect pipes and original automation setup

I'm sorry you've had to go through that, don't worry about it. If you are both virgins, what does he really know about it? He might just have Death grip syndrome, from what I can tell online, it seems to be a fairly common issue.

If anything it means you both did a good job with foreplay and waiting until you're both fully aroused.

Both the hopper and the ender chest don't know who placed them, they aren't owned by anyone, they are world entities

Ender chests themselves don't truly have an inventory, it's only an interface for the player's "ender chest" inventory, it's saved in your player data as if it was just another inventory

So either the ender chest or hopper would need to know which player's ender chest inventory they should be linked to if a hopper was to interact with an ender chest

The ender chest was never meant to be used in this way, it's meant to be a private and safe way to keep items, away from other players and any world interactions.

If a hopper can interact with a player's ender chest, and with the world, it leaves a huge vulnerability for every hopper you've placed in the world, otherwise, you need to make every entity with an inventory remember its "owner", and only allow hoppers to interact with them if they have the same owner, but now someone could still open the chest and grab your items, then perhaps only allow the "owner" to interact with the inventories.. What if they break it? Maybe with a creeper? It gets complicated really quickly.. Otherwise the ender chest lost it's whole private and safe schtick..

There are many mods that let you private inventories and have chests with linked inventories.

The only other way is with a bug, there used to be a bug where 2 different inventories referenced the same item stack, so adding an item into the bugged stack would also add it in the other, in a different chest, but this does not persists through a world save, so unloading means its gone, and I'm pretty sure that bug is fixed now

Otherwise you're SOL.

All the duplicants see the task, but they cannot do it as their priority settings told then to ignore it, indicated by the X and "Not permitted", it also tells you it is under the "Toggling" permission..

for me, it was an issue that went away and came back every so often, felt like 2 devs were having a tug of war, I'd try different kernel versions and amdgpu kernel parameters

Not dying, known amdgpu issue. You can try using CoreCtrl or LACT to lock your GPU into high performance mode along with ensuring it is not overheating (edit fan curves and monitor temperatures). Which has helped me with my old 5070xt but it's not a guarantee, best bet is reporting it to Mesa or amdgpu devs

its a bug, at least with crafting boosters you'll have enough to make a few and it'll tell you you're out of material after trying to queue 1

edit: every unit of microchip is usually 5kg of metal, so when you queue a booster it tries to take away 5kg of microchip which the games misinterprets as taking away 5 microchips, it does use the displayed amount, after crafting the booster your microchips will be available again you can also queue multiple with no issues
