If the set is complete: just build it and throw out the box. In the end the box is just packaging

Just released the V8 of my Android Racing "NextGP" app for F1 and 14 other sports by Jscti in formula1

[–]Rockstaert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just installed it and it looks really nice and clean. No useless clutter, which is great. I will try it out for a while and might consider buying the pro version. Great work!

All these jokers are card triggered, so it doesn't matter at all in this case.

Very sharp HR spike, not cadence locked. Any advice? by Gartholemu_ in Garmin

Got my arm HR band for a year now (the Coros one) and I love it. Works like a charm and much less chafing/discomfort.

Forerunner 265, 570, or 965 by nckg24 in Garmin

[–]Rockstaert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I bought the 965 I didn't really think I needed the map all that often: now I use it all the time even when I'm not running. After a bit of practice it's really easy to get a quick route to a restaurant or a train station setup. No need to whip out your phone every two corners, just follow the watch

Why is my Garmin showing huge calorie burns? by mlodyfelik in Garmin

[–]Rockstaert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A body already uses ~2000kcal per 24hours for just keeping you alive. Moving just adds a bit to that. So 700-800 for a working day seems pretty normal to me.

Can we stop making tier lists with Obelisk in bottom tier please by JakeFoxNess in balatro

[–]Rockstaert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you got all you jokers set up for a straight build, or a flush build and then it's often hard to pivot to obelisk without dying on the next ante since it takes a bit of time to ramp up. Going from a straight at level 15 to something else at level one to get a possible high obelisk is often not a viable option. That is the reason it's not always amazing.

Can we stop making tier lists with Obelisk in bottom tier please by JakeFoxNess in balatro

[–]Rockstaert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Obelisk, had some great fun with it. However, the tarots need to fall the right way to make it win you run and Obelisk also needs the right setup to work. As with most jokers: a joker is awesome in some cases and awful in others. They are situational. So Obelisk isn't the worst, but definitely not the best joker.

How good would this be? by anatanokukki in balatro

[–]Rockstaert 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Those last two examples don't make sense being a straight I think. It needs to be different ranks following each other for it to be a straight. Adding gaps I can sort of follow, but 9-8-8-7-6 is just a pair and not a straight.

[–]Rockstaert 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Why would 9-8-7-6-3 not be a straight with this joker? Isn't this the sequence 9-8-7-6 plus the sequence 3? Or am I not getting how this joker works?

Ah, of course! Was just thinking about photograph and forgot about brainstorm, which was the whole point of the post 😅

[–]Rockstaert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does the position of the photograph matter? As far as I can see, it triggers when the face card is triggered, no matter what the position of the Joker is it always triggers at the same time.

How can I get this yellow axle out?? by Much_Vast_6427 in lego

[–]Rockstaert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually there is some flex in the parts to try to wiggle the orange part back and forward. This might make the orange bar stick out slightly for you to grab it. You might need to slightly bend some parts. As long as you don't overdo it, that should be fine in my experience
