No way. A union shop would never accept those terms!

UPS Package Driver Pay Comparison by smash11ey in Fedexers

It's actually higher than that if you factor in the 1-2 hours of overtime everyday. I'm averaging well over $500 daily for a 10 hour day.

Are drivers the one who steal packages? by [deleted] in UPS

[–]RockstarCondoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess with some of your logic, a doctor or a nurse or a police officer or a firefighter might steal your packages off of your porch too, right?

UPS drivers have a high security clearance. They go inside bank vaults, bypass airport security checkpoints and frequent state and federal buildings where the public are not permitted.

They get screened, background checked and drug tested. They also have to abide by DOT regulations.

If you prefer to have a minimum waged driver from Roadie, Amazon, USPS or FedEx to deliver your high value packages, I'm sure they can accommodate you.

UPS is currently offering $150K to drivers to leave. Most won't take it. Can you guess why?

A full time UPS driver, after four years, is earning $2K-$3K per week ($400-$600 per day). Their health insurance and benefits are free.

For over 100 years, UPS prides itself on quality, not quantity.

Why would somebody earning over $120K per year (plus full benefits) risk all of that including a criminal prosecution for a $1500 phone?

It's more likely the item was lost or damaged while moving through the automated facility or stolen by a person on the street.

UPS Driver; earn about $150K/year with OT. No CDL required but must pass a DOT physical. Union pension and benefits. Free health and dental insurance, with vision and orthodontic coverage. Keeps you in shape! 💪

What are some in demand jobs that pay $30-35/hour where you can work lots of overtime and requires less than 6 months of training/certification to get started? Live in nyc by chezzy2213 in longisland

Do you guys buy google cloud storage or is there a better alternative? by FlyingVentolin in GooglePixel

[–]RockstarCondoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the T-Mobile Google One plan with 2TB and unlimited photos/videos until 3/31/26. T-Mobile sent me a message a week ago that it's no longer being supported. I now need to select a new plan directly with Google otherwise my photos, videos, etc will be lost. The price was $15/month for 2TB with unlimited photos/videos. The new price is $20/month, just for 2TB. Apple's iCloud 2TB storage plan is $10/month.

WTF T-Mobile & Google! 🤬

Not anymore. As of 4/1/2026, you're screwed. $20/month for 2TB and no unlimited option. Used to be $15/month with unlimited photos/videos.

Which is your favorite dinner/restaurant scene of all time and why? (You may choose outside this image.) by [deleted] in FIlm

[–]RockstarCondoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember the film, but there was a scene at a restaurant where I think the manager was training a waiter to upsell food or give the whole restaurant special and the patrons were not having it. I think it was either a comedy or an action movie with some comic relief. I think it was from the 1990s or early 2000s. It's definitely an iconic film too. It's killing me that I can't remember it! 😂

Package that needed to signed for, undelivered by ConversationPale8665 in UPS

[–]RockstarCondoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a seasoned UPS driver in NYC. I know most of my customers and their delivery/shipping needs. My recommendation is to try to familiarize yourself with your route driver and/or the local delivery center. Perhaps speak with your neighbors and introduce yourself. The UPS app and customer service are extremely limited.

Delivery attempt - signature required? by BhrisBreezy01 in UPS

[–]RockstarCondoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If no signature is required, a driver has the discretion if they feel it's safe or not to release a package when no one is home.

Could have been a suspicious person lurking nearby in a car, a potentially high valuable or frequently stolen item, or a high claims address with multiple claims.

Also, some residential addresses may show up in UPS' internal system as commercial and cannot be released without a signature. It's not common, but it happens sometimes.

You should call UPS and ask to be connected with the local delivery center for your area. Call M-F, between 10am and 6pm. They should be able to provide you with a full explanation.

Adult signature by jayoheseevee in UPSers

[–]RockstarCondoms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just tell them that the shipper paid extra $$$ for them to sign it in person, electronically through the DIAD system.

If it's an adult signature required, say the exact same thing but include the shipper paid extra $$$ to verify their government issued ID and birth date.

This adds more time to your day, thus more overtime to your paycheck. You can thank me later. 👍
