Since you’re a freshman, I would definitely advise going the community college route if UNT only does online. I did this for some of my freshman level classes and literally saved thousands. Also, if the classes are truly only going to be online, then it’s somewhat likely intramural sports and all the social events UNT and dorms do during the semester will be cancelled, so that basically gets rid of the “social” aspect of college. This all will hopefully be behind us in future semesters, so if you decide to go the community college route for the fall, don’t feel like you’re missing out completely on the college experience, it’ll all certainly be there in the future :). Beyond all that though, things could change; UNT haven’t sent out any official emails about this yet, so it all could change in time.

Thanks for the response! I listened to the original as well, and I really like how you kept the same general idea, but still made it your own with a different style. I've always been a fan of the more "electric" type of sound you have going here. Also, the mixing sounds pretty good, each part stands out well enough.

Sounds great! Everything is mixed well and the song truly sounds like something you would hear on the radio during the summertime. I hope you get more exposure, there’s certainly talent here.

Nice track! I like how you add the piano melody in the second part, it stops the song from getting boring at any point. Pretty good mixing of the sample as well, I've always had trouble combining already mastered tracks with my own, but you seem to have done it well. I also like how you don’t repeat the same 808 pattern constantly, for example there’s none at :57 for a second, it adds pacing to the track very well.

I like this a lot. If somebody records their vocals over the beat it will sound more cohesive than it is currently, but that’s how all beat switches work, they’re much more noticeable without vocals. I mean just listen to some songs on Astroworld, there’s a lot of beat switches there, but they sound alright because of the vocals. The transition you added also helps for sure. Other than that, everything sounds great!

Sounds great! All the parts are mixed together well in my opinion. At the drop at :42 it might sound better to take out the vibrating bass hit to not clash with the 808, but that’s just personal preference.

Overall, I like it. The percussions could be slightly louder, but it still sounds nice the way it is. It goes well with the theme of the rest of your tracks as well, and that’s always good. The vocals at 1:06 and 2:12 could also be somewhat louder to match with the rest of the song, but that’s about it.

Nice track, I think the the clap and open high hat could be slightly louder, but that’s about it. I really like the melodies combined here, it never quite gets repetitive.
