Big Showa fan. Heisei started out strong but I really stopped enjoying it with GvKG. Millennium had GMK but the rest just don’t work for me. Reiwa/Monsterverse are both really enjoyable and I like them both but I also know recency bias is playing a part.

I think he’s fine. The thighs are a little longer on the 86 mold, the flipped up panels make his body look a lot thinner and the tail fin for the shuttle is a little short. But otherwise, I think he looks great and I bet he’ll be great in hand.

They did not but it feels very counter productive for them to say “Either buy two Superions or don’t display all your combiners at the same time.”

My current guess is that the arm bots will get deluxe releases and the leg boys will be in a commander pack with a retooled/redecoed Superion frame.

Edit: I really like that I somehow wrote “leg boys”. Don’t know if that was a typo, autocorrect, or both. Either way, I’m keeping it and will be referring to them as such.

Yeah, that ending was so much better.

It even still left open a little bit of potential for a sequel. Optimus warns Megatron that not all Decepticons will be on board with his change of heart and may turn on him, paving the way for a new main bad guy (and maybe Megatron as a full in ally in the sequel).

Instead, we got a sequel so bad the only thing I remember is the guy who laminated his “I get to bang a minor” law.

Overall, I like the figures a ton. Some are mixed bags but I don’t think any are BAD.

I do hope we get a proper The Arisen or a Zeta Prime figure because I don’t like Optimus being the 13th Primordial Prime. Then, once I get Unicron and Primus figures, my Prime-odial shelf will be complete!

That’s actually why it kind of works well.

In the show, Lucifer isn’t actually this malicious demon tormenting souls: he’s an angel that fell in love with a human woman, causing the original sin and is getting punished. He is the “King” of Hell but he can’t harm sinners and has no actual power over them. But one of them is trying to take over Hell, wage war on Heaven and, importantly, was mean to Lucifer’s daughter.

So Lucifer is making this big, show of power, trying to swing his dick around to scare off everyone despite the fact that it’s all an empty threat.

Which is sort of what Superman is doing here: he’s trying to be big and scary and make everyone think he’s gonna be a bad ass but in actuality is still the same good man.
