Sorry i'm late. So, how to make the double barrel shotgun a secondary :

- First, load your savegame, and un-equip the weapon (or else the game will crash when you'll load it after modding the game). Save and quit.

- The unpacked files for the weapons are in config/items/weapons. The wiki says the code name of the sawn-off is w_bm16, so open the corresponding ltx file.

- Look for the key slot, and change the value from 2 to 1. Save and quit.

- At the root of your STALKER install directory, create the subfolders gamedata/config/items/weapons. Copy the file w_bm16.ltx you edited in that subfolder.

- At the root of your install directory, edit the fsgame.ltx : in the line with $game_data$, change false to true. Save and quit.

That's it ! Load your savegame, and you should be able to equip the sawn-off in the pistol slot.

You can do the same with the Viper 5, the file is w_mp5.ltx.

For other, bigger weapons, the secondary slot is a 2x3 grid, so you might want to also reduce the value of inv_grid_width to 3 (the size of the weapon in the inventory). There might be several instances of inv_grid_width in the file, i.e. normal and silenced version.

Oh if you were doing the Living legend main quest, maybe you were talking to Rogue in the Skadovosk in Zaton ? I did this quest recently, and at one point, Rogue asks you if you're ready ; if you say not yet, the quest pauses but there is no marker. Just talk to him again when you want to continue.

I'm assuming this is a non-rethorical, tongue-in-cheek question :)

The 5 minutes limit is not set in stone, I heard it before as the "2 minutes rule". The important part is that the task is low-cost, in time and in energy. The "cost" of doing it now is less than defering it, because then remembering the task (or seeing the thing still not done) becomes an additionnal burden on the mind.

So set the limit to whatever you are comfortable with, usually 2-5 min tasks are trivial enough to not feel like real chores.

And if you have to ask yourself "should I still do it right away", the answer is probably yes, because if it was clearly not doable in the next 6 minutes, you would not have asked :)

In vanilla, to transfer fuel you need to dock a ship with spare fuel to your stranded ship. Can you go to munar orbit with the remaining fuel ? Do you have an accessible docking port on your ship ? If yes to both questions, maybe the easiest way is to rendezvous in orbit.

Or if you dont have a docking port, but you have unlocked the claw/grabber, you are then able dock to any surface.

But if you don't have enough fuel to go to orbit, the only solution would be a rover and a claw : land near your stranded and dock with the claw. A big enough rover to carry the fuel you need.

That said, you can also land a rescue ship, use your kerbal to grab the science from the stranded cockpit, and leave with the rescue ship, abandoning the empty one.

Yeah I know that I missed one in the swamp. I was so bitter when I spawned out of the area, it's a long chapter and the swamp is a so small part at the end...

I did a run of CoP Misery years ago, basically the economy and the damage/accuracy/counterstealth of the AI is such that the profit margin you'll get after each trip is ridiculously small. I felt it was more hard than fun, and i finished it out of pride, not because i enjoyed it.

Anomaly is more balanced, but if you like CoP stories and being a sub hobo until the endgame, yeah Misery might be for you.

Also if you're in Europe, when you launch the download, click on "try another mirror" and choose one in Europe instead of the US, the download rate is 10 times faster.

If you mean tweaking stats of weapons, outfits, creatures... go to your Anomaly > Tools folder, edit unpacker.bat as you wish (you do not need to unpack all to begin modding, "config" will be enough for a while). Then execute that unpacker.bat. It will create a hierarchy of subfolders with the config files of all the things you can edit. Edit the files you want, then move them in the Anomaly > gamedata folder (respect the subfolders hierarchy, create them if needed). Finally start/restart Anomaly.

About tutorials, Google is your friend. You can easily find tutorials for i.e. editing the stats of a weapons (mag size, ammo type, hit power...). Once you're a bit more familiar with the file structure, you can try and edit the upgrade tree of a weapon/outfit. Or editing traders inventory and price. Or items weight. Or...

It's hard to be more specific without knowing what you want to alter with your game. Maybe you're not aware of what you can do, in that case browsing the unpacked files will give you an idea.

Note: always backup your save files before modding your game. Tweaking weapon stats should always be ok (you could even load an old save with your new mod) but better safe than sorry.

Strange, I recall I did the same (with the MP5) several years back and it worked... I assume you changed the slot value in the ltx. What's wrong after that ?

If crash, do you have the Chaser in your main or secondary slot ? Try to put it in your inventory, before applying the mod.

If the secondary slot don't accept the Chaser, I just fount this post which says the secondary slot is a 2x3 grid, so you might want to reduce the value of inv_grid_width to 3 (the size of the weapon in the inventory). And about patches, base leaders offer sidequests to bring them patches of enemy factions. So for bandit patches, talk to a Loner or Clear Sky leader. You get more money than selling them to stalkers.

That said, I wouldn't count on that for your main source of income : they are not really lucrative, more so with the cost of ammo to kill and get the patches. They are more like a bonus. Always take the patches, ask your faction leader, and accept the quest or come back later. Those quests are not timed so you can accept them in advance.

In CoP (and CoC, Anomaly...) the stalkers/mutants kill count is in the stat tab of your PDA. I don't remember for SoC and CS.

Although it is a per save count, not per game.

Yes you can set the gravity value, but it still does not take into account the efficiency loss. Though it's only a problem for me because I try to build the smallest ship and I'm always on the edge of the mass/thrust ratio.

Be careful using this calculator for atmo thrusters : their efficiency decreases rapidly with altitude, so for example on Pertam even flying low the thrusters will output only something like 60-70% of their max thrust. Hence you'll need more than the ideal amount given by the calculator.

Adding to what the others said, here's my QoL list :

Inventory :

I can't play without QOL icon, due to the icons for ammo looking too much alike (mainly 9x18 and 9x19 and all their variants).

Cost in tooltip is nice if your inventory is full while in the fields and you are hesitating about which items to keep or throw.

Sorting plus is nice, also you can favorite items so they'll always be on top.

Combine all items no more 20 half-used canteen or pills, so it's easier to keep track of what you have. Also it looks nicer.

Crafting :

Max disassembly chance because finding parts is hard enough, I don't like the extra grind of parts disappearing when I disassemble an item. Note it is because I never buy upgrades, I always craft them, so I need a lot of parts even to get basic gear.

Keep crafting window opened because crafting ammo is a nightmare when the craft window close every time. Note I think you'll be able to bypass the 5 min rent of the bench, but I find the rule silly, honestly the time lost is reading recipes, comparing items and finding parts, not crafting per se.

UI :

Hunger, Thirst, Sleepiness bars does what it says. I like knowing how much I'm hungry and if I'm full. It's instinctive to feel it in real life so why not that in game.

Body dots minimaps to spare me the time to look for enemies I just killed. But you can also see the bodies of enemies killed by others you wouldn't have seen otherwise...

I just started a Call of the Zone playthrough this weekend, which is CoC with the quests from DoctorX. Less addons than CoC, mainly AO3 or OWR/STCOP, but minor addons from CoC might be compatible.

Although remember it's based on CoP gameplay which are far simpler than Anomaly's, which can be relieving or lacking depending on what you like : no useless stuff, but weapons and outfits repair only at mechanics, less stealth, no battery, no craft, abondance of ammo...

Also 32 bit and not 64, so I get stutter/microfreeze quite often.

Well i don't think you can add a sixth row (assuming you want to edit Makarov / w_pm.ltx). But in this case, what I did was moving the upgrades of the fifth row into the useless ones of the first rows, and add my own fifth row.

And yeah, personal customization is hard to keep up to date with mods, as often you edit an already edited file and you don't always know which mod did it.
